This little cantina is along the Barrio de los Artisanas, a pedestrian street where all the artists hang out, showing off their work. This place serves cheap Mexican beer - with 2 for 1 beer specials going all the time- $40MX for 2 beers! Not too shabby! The staff is fast, speaks some English, and serves the famous dish, Chile en Nogada every day of the year. Some restaurants will only serve it in the fall. The tables were comfortable, and the place was clean. They managed to get beers out quickly, and it was a great place to knock back a few. There's plenty of people going by this place, since it's also across from another artists market. It's about 4 or 5 blocks from the Zocalo, and feels very safe, since it's in a major tourist area. read more
