This cemetery is magnificent and very well taken care of. From the stairs in front of the chapel you can see all the crosses at once and it gives a sense of scale of how many young American men gave their lives to free Europe from nazism.
We stopped in the administrative building at the entrance and a helpful lady gave us a little background information about the cemetery and how American soldiers ended up here.
