This was such a tasty and visual stop in downtown Parma to pick up some treats to take home. Upon entering, the staff was very friendly, eager to share samples and answer questions. The facade alone is worth a visit. Inside you'll find dozens of hanging Parma ham legs, plentiful cheese, local honeys, jams, pickled veggies and so on. You could build out a really nice gift basket or Parma round up from this one stop. Try the cheese when they offer a generous sample! Note that like many other bizs in Parma, they close for a few hours in the afternoon. Traveling with your meat/cheese? They'll graciously vacuum pack your purchases for save travels! Immediately WOW right from the street view with the long windows that allow you to stare within and implant your facial impressions on the glass while your saliva DNA drips down on the sidewalk. Inside is an amazing visual explosion of perfectly placed products of all those local northern Italian favourites inclusive of Parmesan, Proscuitto, Lambrusco, that tourists have come to Parma to explore. The counter staff so generous to offer a sampling of the products prior to purchase, however the shop is what it is and placed along the busy tourist walking pathway therefore prices will be higher, but nonetheless convenience and the experience makes it worth it's value. read more

Being my first time in Parma we followed this guide (http://www.italymagazine.com/featured-story/foodie-guide-parma-area) for buying cheese and meats from this recommended store. They also had a bottle of Lambrusco. The employees were very helpful and even vacuum packed each of the meats. I have not tried anything we purchased yet but I have not doubt it will all be delicious! read more

Great place to stop and grab some prosciutto and Parmesan. Seriously if you come all the way to Parma you have to get some. The staff is really friendly and they helped me figure out exactly what to get. They also vacuum seal everything which is a must if you are flying with it. Watch out when you are going crazy buying everything in the store because prices still add up rapidly. I would say give yourself a budget before walking in because if you are like me and love food, you might go broke without a budget. read more
