This chalet is great for families and groups. We had a unit…read moreon the third floor for a group of six. There was an upstairs master bedroom with bathroom and a downstairs bedroom, a bathroom, a toilet room and then the kitchen and living room where the sofa with two beds was. Everything was basic but functional. Very well equipped kitchen! Also a dishwasher present. Lacking storage space to unpack and organize. Worst part is the horrible inconvenient wifi, it's bad and a pain as it keeps logging out. The lobby got a pool table. The spa facilities are nice however there was always only one steam room of the two on. One sauna is more hot than the other which is great. The pool is awesome. I didn't bother to use the hot tub as it was cold water however it has good jets if you got sore muscles they are great for it . Main issue is that it's very dangerous: everywhere there's tiles and the slipping risk is so high especially the sauna! After I wrote this reviews a lady fell and broke her arm in the sauna! I bet this happens often! Both the apartments as the spa don't provide much when it comes to soap. Weird and useless samples in the apartment and all dispensers were empty in the spa. The elevator was great however we could not figure out how to get to level -1 only to leave from there. Ski room has boxes with keys which is great. Best part as you can ski to the door! There's a small lift that takes you to the bigger ones. Very convenient! You get one parking spot. Parking for the rest is a disaster however there is a free parking lot if you drive out of town towards Italy. There is also a paying lot down the road. Check out is at 10am and you have to have the kitchen cleaned and all the linen and towels collected. Location is great as I personally loved that the ski area is both in France and Italy.

Extremely customer unfriendly officials at ski lifts Prorel Briancon…read more We are very regularly (twice an year, summer and winter) spending our holidays in this region. Obviously we are usually very happy with the touristic experience there, otherwise we wouldn't come back. But recently in February 2016 we had a pretty unpleasant experience with the officials of the Prorel skilifts. My wife mixed up our ski passes for the day. I had the ski pass of my 6 year old son, while he had my ski pass but had left with ski school already. We got stopped by the official at the valley station Prorel in Briancon. Whatever we said and tried to explained (in French as my wife is French), the guy was not very talkative and handled the situation like a unfriendly police officer who caught somebody speeding. He let us wait at least for 3 quarters of an hour till another official arrived who was similarly talkative. We had to pay a fine of 120 EUR before they would let us go. Both refused to give us their family names nor any official address to follow up on this matter. The next day we tried to follow up anyhow but with zero success. I don't know how these guys are functioning but definitely not very customer friendly. We (the whole family with grandparents and friends) spent in the recent years every winter around 3000 EUR for ski passes and ski school at Prorel station. In this sense we expected at least a possibility to explain our mistake in mixing up our ski passes. But well, as we are always staying in a house not far from Guillestre, I guess we will spend that money in the future in Vars station, which is not further away for us than Briancon.
