Definitely found the right one! This was a magical experience. The hotel is beautiful, and just screams luxury. I checked in early, because I wanted to have some extra time in the wet areas, and not feel rushed. Everyone was friendly, and I was greeted with a robe, flip flops, and a locker to place my items. The pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and cold plunge were all fantastic additions to prepare me for my massage. The massage was wonderful (it was a guy, which at first made me nervous but turned out great), and I left feeling completely relaxed. I did mine in the evening, which was perfect because I was able to shower and go straight to bed! My only complaint would be that it was quite warm in there, so I did sweat, but who doesn't want all the toxins out of your body?! Especially after all the lovely wine and mead on my vacation! No pics as cameras are not allowed!

In the co-ed shared space there was a small indoor pool, a room which seemed like a giant jacuzzi, and a steam room. After using all the amenities, we had a wonderful 90 minute Swedish Massage upstairs in their treatment rooms. Fantastic massage and a must while in Stockholm.

Selma City Spa offers a wide variety of treatments, (facial, body and luxury treatments) as well as gym, spa and sauna. The perfect place to disconnect from that busy schedule for a while and relax. There is a small café where they serve food and smoothies, most of it healthy and fresh meals like salads and snacks. We were lucky enough to go there on a sunny day so we were able to enjoy the day to the fullest, the pool high above the rooftop and the amazing view was the highlight of they experience! If you've never had a Thai massage before, you might be a little surprised by it - you'll be fully clothed for the massage, in loose fitting clothing provided by the spa, and the masseuse will likely walk on your back, push on pressure points, and help you stretch your muscles extensively. If you're looking for a more "normal" massage, the oil massage is great, and just 595 sek. If it does't open, don't give up, keep pushing :) The lady sitting there in the evenings is very friendly and helpful, ready to explain about several treatments they have. I've learned that she is not the owner though. The local itself is not fresh fresh but fresh enough to be comfortable. The only drawback is that there is no changing room, not critical for saltroom itself but I think about yoga for example, still good enough to give them a 5. They have two rooms, salt & ljus room, with different types of services, yoga & massage in salt room,.... Saturday mornings they have a special event for children in the salt room. I've just used the salt room and I am very satisfied. They are open on Saturdays and until 20:00 for some weed days which makes it very convenient as an after work plan. I'm no expert on the health related benefits of this treatment but in practice, it helped my asthma a lot. I've heard and tested saltroom almost a year ago but just couple of times and it was not my asthma peak period either. This year I went there in the most difficult period and it really helped. To be honest, I'm normally skeptical but The immediate effect surprised me. The other favorite thing about this room is that it is a silent room, no phone allowed, just lay down and listen to the music and keep your eyes closed and take deep breaths, not sure about you but I don't do these things all together so often :D For me, I will keep this treatment as a routine. If you've never had Thai massage before, it's kind of like this petite Asian woman is trying to literally separate the fibers of your muscles by pulling your muscles in opposite directions. But afterward, you feel like 10 million bucks. This massage did use oil (some Thai massages don't) and so it was kind of like a hybrid Thai/deep tissue massage. I felt fabulous afterwards. I really thought that someone coming into your home to give you a message would be more closely aligned with the niche of offering convenience than true expertise and I kept that opinion through about half of the deep tissue message (you can select from any of 4 styles: relaxing, deep tissue, Egyptian, or classical). I've had a fair number of deep-tissue work done before, as well as a myriad of other therapeutic and physiological treatments so I know the usual methods of approach and what to expect... Then I realized Reda (the owner of the business which he started 3 years ago) was approaching the message in a more careful way than I expected, testing the mobility of various muscle systems before and after his treatments and I started to pay more attention and give his treatment more respect. By the end of the message he had diagnosed almost all of my ailments without me telling him about them, had the suggestions for treating them (and not necessarily just via more massage time), spent some extra time going over the stretches he wanted me to do, and explaining how he thought these things were affecting me body now and how they would play out in the future. I know my body pretty well, but Reda figured it out and more in 60 minutes. He truly speaks the language of the muscular and tissue system. Not surprisingly, he has worked in the field for over 11 years as of this review and has done extensive work in the medical massage field, sports therapy treatments and even treats some of the competitors in the Swedish TV show "Gladiatorerna" (Rena is a pretty strong guy himself). He has a few other massage therapists working with him, so I can't comment on the expertise of everyone, but I'm sure they will be happy to tell you about them as well. I found the receptionist extremely friendly and helpful! The most impressive thing I got was how much Reda seemed to actually care about my health. He gave everything to me straight, and really stressed what needed to be done to fix the situation. When I asked about getting more deep-tissue work, he told me what to ask for in a massage and said it doesn't matter where I go, and that I could also do a lot to fix these problems on my own.
