I had booked an appointment a month prior and the ladies at la Rousse called me the day before to cancel it. I rescheduled and they canceled again. It is bad service and unfair to customers, especially when they have an event coming up where they would like their hair done. It's unacceptable. It's a small town and they should treat their reoccurring customers better. I would definitely not recommend this salon, there are many better salons in oxford with more organization skills. read more

I travel for work and can't always get my hair done and have to trust yelp reviews for a good place to go. I needed highlights and a trim so I went to LaRousse and had Sierra as my stylist. What a wonderful experience. She listened to all my concerns and took her time to do the right thing for my hair. I enjoyed the conversations and took her up on some suggestions on products to help my hair, as it was pretty ratty. Lol. My daughter had highlights done and it was almost $300! That's it, highlights, not even a haircut. They charged $50 just to get it blow dried! Didn't tell her the price beforehand just did it. They put toner in another $50 that was extra, didn't tell her. Completely unethical taking advantage of a teen like that! read more

La Rousse is right on the square and has a great ambiance inside. It's warm, pretty, and comfortable. I got a quick and inexpensive haircut from Carly and she did an amazing job. I do not dye my hair and don't cut it often, and I was so happy with the results! My hair was so healthy afterwards. read more

Just left La Rousse where I followed my old stylist who I love. However, the place made me claustrophobic. Too many booths and stuff for sale in a very small place. It is loud, crowded, and dark. There isn't a comfortable place where you can sit and wait for your appointment. read more

I've been here a few times before and always had a good experience. This week I have tried filling out their online form, called them 3 days in a row during business hours, and left them a voicemail with no phone call back. Not sure what the point of an answering machine or online form is if no one responds to it. Very bad customer service in my opinion. read more

I've been going to this salon for waxes for a while now and I'm leaving the one star for Diana (She alone deserves 5 stars, she's wonderful). I'm giving the customer service of the salon a one star due to the lack of follow-up from management (Jennifer) or care for their customers. I tried to cancel my monthly subscription back in January, as the salon had been charging my card since November of 2020 even though I hadn't been to get waxed. It was only waived for the month of Jan. Fast forward to another call I made a few weeks ago to cancel again before the end of the month as I was still being charged although I was not getting waxed. I was told the manager would contact me about the months I was charged and possible credit. I never got a call. I called again a couple of weeks ago and luckily the manager answered the phone. She informed me that they DON'T give credit nor refunds and that she didn't know she needed to follow-up with me and proceeded to compare a WAX subscription to a GYM membership (basically trying to "little girl" me). I have two degrees in marketing AND specializations in business, sales, and management. A correct comparison would be a wax membership being compared to a lingerie subscription as they both are for my privates. GOOD businesses and EXCELLENT customer service from said businesses offer CREDIT to someone if they are charged and don't receive goods or a service, whether intentional or not. If you are taking money away from someone for a service (like waxing a VA*INA) the least you could do if offer some credit for time missed. They give NO reminders that money is about to be taken out of my account, ALL OF MY BILLS remind me when a payment is coming up (a tip they should take heed of!!!) The salon does text reminders for appts so I know it's possible for reminders for payments. I am a big girl, however, and I will gracefully take my loss. I just really hope that the salon takes my advice in the future to at least check on customers whom money is being taken from but services aren't being provided to. It's bad business not to and if you didn't know that, now you do. XOXO, a former loyal customer ;) read more

This is an amazing salon! However, be ready to drop a pretty penny for their services. They're extremely overpriced, but the service and quality is outstanding. Unfortunately, I won't be returning due to the pricing. I once paid in the ballpark of $300 to have my hair highlighted, cut, and styled. That's just not sustainable for someone to spend every 6 to 8 weeks on hair. Can't win them all right? read more

La Rousse is as good as it gets. An upscale space with very friendly reception and professional service. Several of the stylists take ongoing training in NYC, and the salon is as good as any you'll find in a major city (with the advantage of southern hospitality). For years, I've been going to Debbie Roland, and I've had cuts by Toni Capomazza and Kari Mullins. Everyone that works there is extremely professional, friendly and expert at what they do.
