Also a very nice coffee/tea stop and cafe (some baked goods for sale), with pleasant outdoor seating on the patio in front. In a quiet residential zone of Bolzano. They have an admirable "zero waste" philosophy. We would love to live near this store and make it a part of our daily life.

The market is good though, not huge but it does have a bit of everything and a large selection of chocolate flavours. The deli counter here is worth buying from and they make great sandwiches which are good if heading out walking for the day. The sons of the owner run the place as well and they both speak really good English.

It is run by Francesco Delomengo, one of 6 brothers who live in the village and it's been ticking away with business for the past 2 years. Inside it is small but has a good selection of fresh meats. He has all the usual, chicken, lamb, pork & beef and often he will also have game such as rabbit or game birds. The prices although not as cheap as larger supermarkets in the area (the nearest is 45 minutes away) are good value and it's always nice to support the local shopkeepers. He can also order stuff for you which he'll have within a couple of days. The meat is of a good quality and in the main fat free and the goulash beef is some of the best non fatty meat around.

The supermarket is reasonably priced although not huge and has pretty much everything you'd need for a weeks stay in the area. The book section is also good and comprehensive but the main section is taken up with fashion and sport clothing and equipment. The fashion clothing is clearly an Italian ting as the choice is terrible but the sports section is better and they have a good range of technical jackets and under layers. The sports hardware (bags, poles, skis etc) is also good and the staff in there speak good English and seem to know their stuff.
