On a recent trip to Kaysersberg, a friend and I found ourselves wanting a quick cup of coffee around mid-morning, but also wanting a quiet spot away from the bustle of the main drag. While a bustling shop near the entrance to the village offered a convenient location, we wanted a relaxed atmosphere to visit and enjoy our drink. Just a few turns away and in the heart of Kaysersberg, we found La Table du patissier.
Located on a street corner but still feeling intimate, La Table du patissier fit exactly what we needed. We walked in, said that we were interested in some coffee, and were immediately led to a table by a friendly and chic employee. The restaurant was quiet (we were the only ones there at the time!), and she quickly prepared our cups of coffee while also preparing the place for later meals.
The decor was elegant, with neutral walls, modern photos decorating them, and a streamlined look to the tables, including the table setting and furniture. There was pleasant, quiet music playing in the background that added to the inviting ambiance. We happily sipped on our coffee and enjoyed the break in the day.
When we finished up, we paid at the register before heading out to continue exploring Kaysersberg, this time with a little caffeine pep in our step. read more
