The texture of the mushroom is perfectly tender (not rubbery). The sauce they pour over them brings the magic umami flavors. The sauce is fat based (oil or butter) with garlic and other unknown magic seasonings. They only make one food, mushrooms, but you wouldn't want anything else. The place is small and popular. It gets super crowded quicky. They open at 7:15pm, which is early time to eat in Spain. However I recommend coming not too long after they open so you can get ahead of the crowds and get place at bar.

This place is iconic. The first thing I would do if I'm ever back in La Rioja is to come here. My husband and I came to Bar Soriano at the request of his cousins who have lived in Logroño for about 20+ years. We tried different "pinchos" (snacks eaten in different bars) on this main street but they told us this place was a MUST. The line was long and the place doesn't look like much, but believe me, totally totally worth it. I cannot explain how good these are.
