At the end of checkout they charged my card an extra amount of money for 2 wine bottles that we had already paid in cash to Erica. They said they had video proof that we just took the bottles from her and left. I asked for the video footage 3 times. Each video was clipped short before or after the money transaction. Erica must be pocketing the money. My friends and I work at a hotel at a winery! We would never leave without securing payment. If you do go there, please don't make the mistake we made and make sure you ask for a receipt for everything.
Also, we stayed at a lot of places in Italy, but at this area people seemed to hate Americans. We would get the dirtiest looks and whispers and they would not even try to be discrete about it. It was very uncomfortable.
