Disgusting place, unclean, DO NOT bring your child here they don't use butterfly needles and they lack hygiene

I had my blood drawn between 10:30-1100am on Friday, (today), 09/13/24 at the Westwood, NJ location. I am a post-renal transplant recipient and have extensive testing done on me on a regular basis. When I specifically asked for butterfly needles to be used, one of your disrespectful and belligerent employees told me that you are short on them, and refused to give me what I asked for. Now my arm has contusions and is sore where she drew blood. See picture. This NEVER happens to me. Since I am on cyclosporin and other anti-rejection meds, weakening my immune system, I must be very careful for any potential risks to my health. If I have to visit an emergency room for this you will be hearing from my attorney. I expect a verbal and written apology from management for exposing me to such grossly, inept personnel. I have always gone to Quest for Blood work less than a block away from Labcorp-- Quest always has long wait times, impossible to make an online appointment and rude personnel I Just recently was at Quest and the staff gathered behind a window that was opaque and goofed around and discussed personal matters for about 30 minutes. The folks ahead of me stated they only took one person in to the lab for nearly an hour. I knocked on their door and was treated very rudely and so I left. In complete contrast the Labcorp folks were professional, courteous and efficiently took care of patients in 10 minutes or mostly less time. The waiting room was clean with plenty of seating. I highly recommend their lab for all testing needs and also their medical technician Danny. read more

I have been coming to LabCorp in Westwood my entire pregnancy. From the first blood test, they have been amazing. Each time I have to go, I feel confident and reassured that I will be in good hands. I have been to other LabCorps in the surrounding area and none hold a candle to this location. I will continue to only book here! read more

The worst place ever. I went for bloodwork and I asked her for a butterfly needle and she told me all needles were the same size but shaped differently. My relative who was with me at the time is a phlebotomist and she told her there were different gauges not different shape needles and she rolled her eyes. She was very unprofessional and rude. She left me with a weird shape bruise and my arm has been hurting me ever since. The place was dirty and disgusting and smells. There were mouse glue traps all over in plan sight. One word: RATCHET! If there's a hell on earth, this place is it. The staff is unwelcoming, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a few years and the smell attests to that. I was called in and the woman working at the desk was called away twice. I was told to have a seat while I waited, but the chair smelled like feces and body odor. Eventually, the woman took my info and I overheard the phlebotomist nastily and loudly telling a patient repeatedly to calm down. I sat and waited for my turn when the phlebotomist took my papers from me and said "We'll, I don't know if you're next." Ok, so why did you take my papers without knowing? They leave the door wide open so you have no privacy, meaning people can hear your name and DOB, as well as seeing you get your blood drawn. This is literally the worst place, it's guaranteed to have you leaving in an awful mood. read more

Had a scheduled appointment for finger printing for a new employer. There is apparently only one person that does fingerprinting and they didn't show up for work on the day of my appointment. I was never notified and spent 45 min driving each way to/from my appointment plus another 20 min waiting in the waiting room, had to pay for childcare and it took another week to get an appointment. read more

Update!! They have a new check in express system that's pretty amazing. Takes the pressure off the front desk a little which makes their job so much smoother. I heard some people complaining that they're not secretaries why should they be the ones to put in their information. And to that I say, "WHAT?" Every providers office needs you to fill out something so these people are delusional. This lab Corp is THE BEST! The best I tell yah! I got there a little later than usual (8:07 and it's 8:20 now). Place was packed and I was there for routine blood work and I'm still walking out of there from check in to check out in less than 20 min. If you smile at them, they'll smile back. KEEP IT UP WESTWOOD! ---------------------------------------------- I checked in at 7:12 and I was back in my car by 7:20. If it were possible to give this lab 10 stars, I would. I stopped going to the Westwood Labcorp because they are very painful when taking blood. For several years now I've been going to Englewood, where the techs are terrific. Pain free blood drawal. Englewood seems to be closed so I tried Westwood again and had a very painful experience. The tech said he was using a small needle. I don't think so. Needle was painful going in and coming out. I have blood work done every month or sometimes twice a month for the past 5 years, so I know the difference between needles and cranky techs. I think I'll try Teaneck again. I.C.Q. Search and Recovery is on YELP. WCCL/PathologyInc. owned by Laboratory Corporation of America failed to submit insurance claim w/in year of service. Collections contacted me 3 yrs after sevice. I.C.Q. Search and Recovery refused to speak w/ med. insurance. The letter addressed a charge for services in 2015 for the amount of $$$$. I found the bill I received. I had called the billing department with my medical insurance information in 2015 which PathologyInc/WCCL already had since they had submitted claims for other services in 2015. I never received another bill. after I called PathologhyInc/WCCL According to my then insurance, a claim was not submitted for the date in question. My insurance informed me if PathologyInc/WCCL did not submit within a year, they will not pay. My insurance requested that PathologyInc/WCCL resubmit with proof of timely filing; or have the PathologyInc/WCCL call my insurance. I called the collection agency I.C.Q., they refused to relay the information to PathologyInc/WCCL since the claim was not submitted within a year of service. I.C.Q. requested I submit the claim or pay the bill since it was my fault PathologyInc/WCCL did not submit the claim. I informed them I called PathologyInc/WCCL billing with my insurance information on date in 2015. I wrote the date and what information I gave them. I failed to write down the name of the operator. The I.C.Q. (Amber) said that I could be making up the information - without the name they cannot look at their 2015 logs to verify. Amber stated she will give me an extension of 60 days so GEHA could process the claim I SUBMIT. I did not bother to ask them to call GEHA at this point. The I.C.Q. (Amber) stated PathologyInc/WCCL sent 3 statements in all within 4 weeks of the service; the last one being my final notice which was received 25 days after service. I only received the last one and called the billing department with insurance info. Since I did not hear from them, I thought they were paid. My insurance was upset at how PathologyInc/WCCL and I.C.Q. are handling this issue. So I have and am filing complaints against Laboratory Corporation of America and I.C.Q. with the Better Business Bureau. bbb.org/consumer-complai... I am also filing with the Office of the Attorney General - fill out the Consumer Complaint Against A Business/Corporation Form against both Laboratory Corporation of America and I.C.Q. oag.ca.gov/sites/all/fil... This place is a joke, went for blood work here, twice and had the worse experience, people here have no clue what they're doing, first time they put so much pressure on my arm, I had pain and bruised for 2 weeks, today, they poked 2 veins with no blood before finding one with blood...a good experienced nurse would have not put me through this! read more

I'm a nurse and a picky patient. The check in was super quick, I didn't wait at all and the phlebotomist did a good job. When I used to draw blood, we always engaged the vacutainer tube in the holder but apparently that is not done any longer - this is the second recent blood draw I've had where this was not done. Waiting room and phlebotomy station are clean, chairs comfortable and staff was polite. Plenty of parking as well. read more

went there to get a jug for the 24 hour urine test but they didn't give me the necessary hat to put on the toilet so I had to start over again picked everything up at another location and they were very surprised that I didn't get it the first time delayed my result which the Dr had to call for the day of my appointment their attitude was fine read more

I went there on a Saturday morning and had to go back again because I was told they lost my blood specimen. Now I just received a bill in the mail for the blood they lost! Even more aggravation now having to call them again. Unbelievable! Don't know if it's a coincidence but the person in this picture happened to be the one that helped me that morning. I went there for employment drug screening at 12:15pm. Overall, the lady who took care of my screening was nice and I got in and out within 15-20min. However, when I went there in the early morning by mistake, the lady at the reception was super rude, mean and unprofessional. She literally yelled at me because I came in wrong time. I was aware of her face from "yelp" review(thanks for the picture) so I wasn't upset that much but please be aware of that reception lady in the morning. I didn't see her afternoon so I'm guessing she's only there in the morning. read more

I have to say...I was not impressed with this Labcorp and I was honestly a little concerned. I had an appointment for some lab work and I waited about 5 minutes at the desk before I could get someone's attention to be helped. There was only two people working in the entire lab and neither one really seem to know what they were doing. Not to mention the language barrier was a challenge! Luckily, my test was pretty simple to complete, but I felt bad for another patient who had to go to a different lab when this lab was out of the supplies that she needed to complete her lab work. Are you serious?? This is a lab so they should have the proper supplies at all times!!! It just was VERY unorganized and I pray that my test results get to where they need to go and that they're actually mine!! Live and learn I guess! read more

They don't have patience skills. I just brought my son there for blood works & how dare the receptionist to say that not to let my son scream. For God's sake, he is a kid. How would you feel if you are poked with needles. They were not able to get it in one shot. The person kept poking on his left & then transferred to the other arm. On top of that, my son have VSD so if he does not let his feelings out, he would collapse. I would not go back to this location anymore. read more

I have visited Labcorp twice to get routine blood work done. Both times I have gone before work without an appointment and was in and out in 15 minutes. Front desk was efficient and clear on telling me what I needed to do. The phlebotomist I had today was very sweet and did a fantastic job of making the procedure as painless as possible (I can't remember her name but she was in the room with Snow White and the Cars character on the wall). Absolutely incompetent people ! On Saturday morning we left 9 vials of stool sample (for my 4 year old who's in pain for 10 days) that we were supposed to get results in 2-3 days. Now 5 days later they announce that they did not do anything because there were no name labels on each vial ... how can you take these samples without checking that all is correct with the labels ???? and if it's not why wait 5 days and contemplate who's sample is that ? have you ever wonder who's waiting on the other side and who's in pain ? I wonder now if the results will be correct or if they just winged it ? they should all be fired and hire responsible people !!! read more

Horrible place! Went there the morning of 10/28/16 and the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude, curt and provided misinformation. She stated that they only have walk-ins. Not true! When asked more questions she stated that she was too busy for this and interrupted/snapped that "I already answered your question!" Side note: there was only one person in the waiting room. Fortunately an older lady appeared behind the desk and was able to provide correct information in a friendly manner. The younger one should be fired! read more
