My experience with LOD has been very satisfying . Being retired I have been able to earn extra income. Because of flexibility with job assignments l am able to go to school, schedule appointments without having to be committed to full time employment. On Sunday, I went up to Rick Leal Jr. at Gateway Fellowship Church where we both attend. I asked him about getting work with his company, or the one his parents Rick Sr. and Lucinda own, Labor on Demand. Previously I have worked for this company out of their Piedras Office, over near Babcock and IH 410 Loop. I asked him to refresh my memory regarding the difference between the Piedras Office and the Culebra Office on Culebra very close to IH 10. He stated, "The Piedras Office is for skilled workers looking for Temporary to Hire Jobs; and the Culebra Office is more simple, day-like work." I told him. "During the School year, I work part-time as a Substitute Teacher, Grades Pk-8th. The work at your Culebra Office sounds perfect for me." I spent about 25 minutes in my parked car after Gateway's Service and talking to Rick going over the Yelp Reviews on the Labor On Demand Culebra Office. I was very taken back on the LARGE NUMBER OF NEGATIVE OR "0" or "1" or very disappointing reviews on what happens here at this office. Today, Tuesday after Sunday, I am sitting in my car outside of this poorly reported on business office. I am happy to report that my experience was the TOTAL REVERSE OF THOSE HARSH REVIEWS. I just resigned up with Labor On Demand (LoD). Aussie G. was the person who went through the process of reinstating me into the system. He was kind, professional, welcoming and friendly. I felt comfortable with how he handled my Social Security Card and other things. Their Core values are INTEGRITY, FAMILY, FAITH and SERVICE. Wrong! The only one that is correct is family. They only want their own to work for them (Hispanics). They are prejudice. How are you going to have integrity when you don't keep your employees informed on all changes. And the changes you do make, it's to single out the non-family people. Plus, when one calls to schedule a work day, they deliberately give you the wrong start time so you end up late or not working at all. UNPROFESSIONALISM is more like their core values. read more

If you aren't Hispanic don't even bother going to Frost Center because Juliana will pick other Hispanics to work before you even though you were there before them. They show favoritism to Hispanics at Frost even if youre a hard worker. They sign 20 ppl up for work but only take 5 so ppl come to work for no reason and get turned away. I'm using yelp to warn anyone looking for work at labor on demand. At one point they were OKAY, but then they keep getting new workers and will send out 20 people to a shift where they only need 6-10 people. That leaves 10-14 people with no source of income. They do this because they don't have a system. This month in July they tried to fix it. I am a regular employee, unfortunately I caught covid this month and it got me good and I haven't been to work since July 7th. I'm trying to get back in on a opportunity but the office workers who know nothing about working the actual jobs or how the work place operates inside the facility want to be unprofessional and not understanding the damage they do when they mess with peoples work schedule or give false hope they they have an open position. There is so much miscommunication with this company. If you go to this company thinking your going to work at the Alamodome, HBGCC, AT&T, and the bakery and you get turned away cause they send to many people cause they don't want trouble with their client. They also have some crazy staff they bring in and when they get denied they will lash out on you. It's very unprofessional work environment. Labor on Demand also has freezer jobs but if you have and underlying lung problem (like me) these jobs will most likely not work out for you because of the switching from hot and code causes lots of coughing and a cold chest feeling. Allison In specific who sends out text can get a little attitude if you let her know you been in there working for them leaving a good name for them and it's insane that they don't have have good communication, if you brave enough to give this a shot and you work the places I listen you will understand . Dear labor on demand when you change protocols notify all your employees. I'm starting to wonder if y'all network can even hold the amount of information y'all contain.
