It is always just incredible to me that all the amazing specialist support we get here is free (incredible and also so good and right and fair and true and should be the case everywhere because healthcare is a right... but I digress! ;) We recently went back for mooooore tests, and we were super covid nervous but this place does it right. You cannot walk into the building without one of those laser temperature checks, then you wash hands and you follow lines for in and out. I did notice that no one was enforcing a "one person/family group in the elevator" rule, so that's something they could work on, but once upstairs in the children's clinic chairs were blocked off to keep distance, everyone was of course in masks, and the staff were constantly cleaning every surface. Beyond the covid measures, the staff here are always top notch. Huge love for this team.

As a big supporter of the public system, I'm already not a fan of private or semi-private clinics. Recently, this clinic has taken it to the extreme. With the renovations, it's true that it looks very nice. However, there is little available parking. To deal with this isssue, they've come up with the insulting idea of valet parking. For $5, they'll find a parking spot for your car so you don't miss your appointment. I understand this in downtown Montreal but we're talking about the west island where they could have easily planned for more space. I find it disgusting how money-hungry they are. That being said, the facilities are very nice and include a wide variety of medical professionals and specialists as well as some complimentary medical professionals and a travel clinic. Some services are included with RAMQ and some are not, I would call ahead of time to find out.

This is not the way it works. The nexr patient fills the spot. I'm going public. Apparently, this was done to a 3 month old baby. This is just the beginning of the steps I'll take to report the abuse.

Later she witnessed how bad things were and treated me like an absolute animal. she stabbed my arms 6 times trying to even find a vein. Made fun of me when I was having auditory hullcinations and is overall uncaring and un helpful. I hope you never have the "pleasure" of dealing with her lack of empathetic personality and sub par nursing skills.

I'll keep my review short. Call in the morning, ask for an appointment. Be given a specific time for my appointment. Get there ahead of time because parking is easily accessible, get evaluated by the friendly nurse before the appointment, time of appointment comes and *drum roll*.... IT GETS RESPECTED (aka, you don't wait in the CLSC for 6+ hours and catch who knows what while you wait). Get your time with the doctor, be given treatment and prescription within 15-20 minutes of your appointment, then find yourself back home within an hour with medicine in your system, proceed to go back to sleep. Did I mention I was in and out of bed within 90 minutes even with the terrible Jean-Coutu across the street? I wish Rockland still had their Pharmacy... but hey... I'll take what I can get. All in all, a great option for those of us willing to go private.

I did my "suivi de grossesse" here - ie; one million follow up appointments while cooking my kiddo - and over time realized this group offers what was for me the perfect balance between midwives on the one hand and high medicalized obstetric surgeons on the other. I wanted a hippie goddess mother birth vibe with all the ressources modern medicine could provide and that's exactly what I got. Unlike some of my friends who did their pregnancy follow ups in other hospitals and clinics I was encouraged to have a birth plan and to bring in a doula - two simple factors that statistically increase a mother's likelihood of having a positive birth experience. I always felt like I was being educated and supported in my choices and never judged or bullied. In the end I ended up seeing 3 different doctors from this group during my longgggg and complicated labour and they were all these kind, powerful, wise women who we trusted immediately and with good reason. Our appointments were almost always on time or within 20 minutes (I had friends wait over 2hrs for their pregnancy checkups) we always felt like our doctor, though a busy badass, would take any amount of time required to answer our questions and make us feel confident before walking out the door - so key when you're a freaked out first time parent. And the reception were kind, quick and friendly. All in all, an amazing experience during a nerve wracking miraculous time.
