We spent 3 hours at the venue without the photographer from her team talking about where to take photos. We wanted to spend less time doing formal photos and more time with photos as people were enjoying the celebration (I now realize I should have said it is fine if these are posed), and indicated we had people who were really uncomfortable having photos taken. She assured us that she could make them comfortable. The photographer showed up as we should have been taking photos and had no real plan on where to take photos (in fairness she had never been to the property and this was a big mistake on my part to not have definitively laid out a plan with her or Sarah on where the photos were to be taken. I assumed with their talent and eye they would be better suited to pick where, out of the many options we had to take photos). The two main chosen locations (we are on a lake, have a beautiful pool, and a golf course flanks our property) were in front of our pool equipment with the neighbor's house in the background, and an area that was unlandscaped, and all you can see are unraked leaves. She then took some decent pictures of the ceremony. Despite having a photo list, many photos were not taken, and many of the key photos, like the one of our parents, were unusable. There wasn't a point that anyone adjusted my dress or adjusted the way we were standing or said anything to anyone other than (look at each other, which made everyone feel even more awkward). In some photos people look like they were photoshopped in because they are standing so far away. Many photos people look like they are in pain as there was no assisting with the fact they weren't comfortable having their photos taken. For the candid photos during the reception, it looks like we had a paparazzi at our wedding. Pictures from far away, people with no idea they were having their picture taken in many cases in embarrassing/unflattering positions. I was told this was the "documentary style" we had requested (we had never had professional photos, and that was definitely not what we had in mind). After the ceremony we received all 700 of our photos in 4 days saying that they had all been edited after editing them myself I can tell you there wasn't the time or care you would expect. I had friends that said don't worry your photographer will edit/touch up skin etc and make you look perfect even if your makeup isn't perfect. This definitely was not my experience, and if they weren't going to do that, suggesting that you do some touch-up in the moment would have been nice (you can't see yourself during photos). I was told, even though we had the wedding at our house, that there was "no time" to take a photo of my dad and me before we walked down the aisle. Given we weren't on a timescale, I was the bride, and I owned the place, I feel like we could have made that happen. I was painted to be some sort of a nightmare bride (our wedding had 20 people all of which, were family it couldn't have been more laid back). I have spent months editing and trying to salvage our photos as we won't likely ever have that group of family back together. I definitely won't have another wedding day. In fairness, we have some lovely photos, but everything from the interactions with the photographer, location of the photos, photo composition, and editing was very disappointing. As you can see from Sarah's reviews and photos, she does do lovely work. Unfortunately, we did not get this type of work. I wouldn't recommend working with her if she is using a photographer on her team, and I would get very specific about her interpretation of what she is hearing you request. In my case I deeply regret not working with another photographer.

I could not be happier with the results of all three sessions and will treasure the images forever. Stacey was wonderful throughout the entire process for each session. She took the time to schedule a video chat with me to understand my needs/vision for the sessions and provided a lot of helpful tips for how to prepare for a session. As a busy working mom, I really appreciated how easy the scheduling process was. We were able to schedule weekend outdoor sessions for the pregnancy announcement and maternity sessions while I was still at work. For the pregnancy announcement session, she made room in her schedule on very short notice when I decided last minute I wanted to add that session on to my package. I also really appreciated that she comes to her clients' home for the newborn session. (I can't imagine being able to pack up the entire family and go to a studio while only 1 week postpartum.) The actual sessions went extremely smoothly. Stacey was a hit with both my 4 and 2 year old daughters. After the first session, both of them kept asking when they were going to get to see Stacey again for another photoshoot. Stacey somehow wrangled both my older daughters during every session and managed to capture wonderful images of our whole family. It still amazes me that she was able to get so many beautiful images with all of my kids looking at the camera and smiling at the same time. For our newborn session, my baby refused to fall asleep for the first two hours of the session. However, Stacey was extremely patient and ended up getting some amazing pictures while the baby was awake and after she finally fell asleep. Stacey got the photos from each session to us extremely quickly. She has the fastest turnaround time of any photographer I have used, and the pictures were amazing. I do not know how she does it! I found Stacey after the photographer I has used previously moved away from the area. At first I was disappointed about losing my previous photographer. However, in hindsight I'm so glad it happened because it led me to Stacey. I researched several photographers before finally selecting Stacey, and I am so glad that I did. She was exactly what I needed to capture all the moments of my last pregnancy and newborn. Stacey is both a highly skilled photographer and a wonderful person. You will not regret hiring Stacey for any of your family photography needs.

Botched photography, and unprofessional!…read more If I could go back and do my wedding all over again, i would have never hired this photographer. Hindsight is always 20/20. Andre, claims to be good at what he dose and he is mediocre at best. He completely ruined the majority of my wedding photos, took photos with our feet cut off, my beautiful gown cut off, he missed the big moments like my husbands mom placing a rose on a chair in honor of her late husband. (Things he knew about ahead of time so he should have been prepared for especially since we hired a 2nd shooter for this reason! 95% of our ceremony photos by Andre are taken from behind our alter(so of our backs or backs of our heads if we wouldn't have had a 2nd shooter we wouldn't have any photos from the front) I have zero bridal photos that show my entire dress unless you count the one he took from the ground! (Bridal photos are of the bride alone in her dress) he claims: "Most pictures I take don't have the whole dress because wedding dresses are big. What I mean is it can ruin the composition. For example, where the faces are. Getting the whole dress can put someone's face in the corner of the frame which would make an awkward looking picture." However after hiring another photographer and doing a bridal reshoot I have learned that this is completely untrue. My new photos show my full body, and full gown and are OUTSTANDING. Andre sent us a galley that had our heads cut off, feet cut off, dress cut off, extremely dark photos, close up photos of my food, but kept claiming the album was "SOLID." We requested to see all of our photos, and found the same photos that didn't have our heads cut off, or were a better angle, etc. Im still unsure why he put photos with our heads cut off when there where images of the same shot that didn't. Or photos of our parents wedding pictures laying down on the chair when there were photos of them sitting up like they should have been....After asking him too He did edit our request from our unedited photos, but still from the thousands we could only find 50-60 that were worth keeping. Our formal pictures are completely lacking, we dont have any verity the choose from when it comes to family photos, or full wedding party photos. For example I have one photo of my husband with my brides maids, and 1-2 photos of him with our entire wedding party. I have no formal photos of us with anyone in our family except our moms(together not individually), and one with my grandparents.(who were out FG &RB) None with anyone else. Aunts, uncles, individuals with our families, Even though these were previously discussed with Andre before the wedding. I could go on and on about everything he failed to photograph! At the end of the day Andre failed to meet our expectations over and over again! However, when we expressed our disappointment, he verbally assaulted me, via text, attacking my faith and Christianity. Andre, admitted that he missed photos, and after getting on a Facebook group for Kentucky photographers, asking what THEY charge for a bridal session (because clearly he saw the need for one) He offered us a $500.00 refund, compared to the 3,499.00 we paid him for Poor images. After doing some in depth research I discovered that $500.00 would not cover the cost of another bridal session because it required more than just standing in front of a camera. Andre REFUSED to accept the facts and discuss the details of such. His way or the high way. And after a few emails, he recanted his offer and then refused to offer any type of refund to us anymore. He is taking advantage of and robbing brides and their families of money. DO NOT HIRE this man, I wouldn't even send my worse enemy to him. My bridal reshoot was extremely successful, and is why I waited as long as I did to post my review, I wanted to see if wedding gowns are as impossible to photograph as Andre claims, or not. I only had 2 hours with my new photographer(10 hours with Andre, his 2nd shooter and a videographer) and I got over 90 pictures and loved every single one of them. AGAIN I would recommend that you not hire this photographer, for your wedding. I've learned my lesson and I'll use my voice to try and prevent another couple from the pain of what it was like getting my poor quality wedding photos back and trying to work though the issues with Andre.
