Amazing service - first of all, a rarity in weho to have genuinely nice and attentive service. The food was pretty good but not particularly mind blowing in entirety. We ordered the halloumi, babaganoush, carrots, crudo, chicken, shrimp and pita breads. Personally I think the "half chicken" is sad and small, I'd probably would stop saying half chicken and revamp that marketing angle. And the shrimp was too cooked. They were prawns so they were massive and extra rubbery. Which made the plates- that were surprisingly too light slide too much when I was cutting it furiously the eat. This is my new favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Hollywood! I was introduced to this family style restaurant by one of my close friends and it did not disappoint. It's located inside a hotel with valet and it's very nice, perfect for a date night or celebratory dinner. If you had to order 3 things, I would recommend getting (in no particular order) these dishes: 1) Octopus Appetizer 2) Za'atar Man'oushe 3) Olive Crusted Rack of Lamb My personal favorite is the Za'atar Man'oushe! What a delight for the palate! My favorite dish of the night was the Za'atar Man'oushe! This is the kind of dish that is last meal worthy. And paired with the Beet Root Hummus, Garlic Labneh and marinated olives it was even more dazzling. These mezze sides were spectacular! The Octopus dish was perfectly cooked and was paired with the crispiest melt in your mouth potatoes. The textures were phenomenal. Just this alone was a lot of food, and we did not leave hungry. There was a strawberry rhubarb old fashioned cocktail that smelled and tasted exactly like strawberry rhubarb. Not sure how they did it! Not only was this restaurant beautifully designed but the service was superb. A memorable anniversary meal for sure! Went on Friday night, and the vibes were immaculate. Never been to a place that have been so intentional with all of the fragrances used in their dining experience. There were perfumes that were floating around the entire night either in the air or through the aroma of the food or through the seasoning in the food which felt somewhat nostalgic and pleasant. Now, the food. They had a wide variety of mezze dishes, and the one we tried was the garlic labneh -- so creamy and the yogurt was not overpowering at all. Their signature Zaatar Manouche was also great -- lots of flavors going on and the smokiness did leave a great impression and aftertaste. The desserts were also super unique: the muhallabiyeh is a more sour dessert which is great for those who don't something super sweet. I did prefer the baklava more because I like that dessert in general (personal choice) My absolute favorite, though, was the lamb chop. I ordered it Medium and it came out so tender and the olives and herbs crusted around the exterior were SO flavorful -- hands down my favorite thing of the night. Quite frankly, this was the best restaurant experience I have had in a long time. I am a fan. I came with a few friends and was amazed at the ambiance, I loved the open kitchen and the attention to detail that was put into every aspect of this restaurant. My only complaint was that the music was a bit too loud which made it a little difficult to talk over dinner. Our servers were friendly and attentive and didn't hesitate to give us recommendations. For drinks, a couple of us started with the Persimmon Sour, I was glad that I took an Uber to the restaurant because I wanted a second one! We started with the zaatar manouche and the oriental mezze. I am familiar with middle eastern food and everything was upscale and elevated. The presentation was amazing along with the flavors. I could have made a meal out the those two items, I loved each and every item on the mezze and the zaatar manouche. I had seen Charbel on Top Chef London which is why I went to the restaurant. I was really glad to see him working in the kitchen and working the dining room. We decided to make the drive (Uber) out to West Hollywood to try Lady Hawk. We had a late reservation so we grabbed a drink at the bar straight through the front doors. It's always a great way to start the night with a couple glasses of wine before the meal. Once our table was ready we were treated by our server who made our experience (I wish I could remember her name. I'll do better next time). She was the absolute best. We had the Spicy Hummus which was fantastic. We had the Babaghanouj (charred eggplant) which was my wife's absolute favorite. For the mains we had the Whole Daurade and the Australian Wagyu Sirloin Shawarma. Both were fantastic. For the sides we had the Charred Broccolini, French Fries (always) and the Shishito Peppers (My Wife's "always"). All in all it was a fantastic evening and a great dinner. My sister and mom are big fans of top chef, they told me chef Charbel Hayek opened a couple of restaurants in LA. I gave LadyHawk a try and came away impressed. The ambiance can fit a date night or small plates with friends/family. I sipped on the Saz-Arak (their version of a Sazerac with arak), if you are into boozy drinks this is the drink to get. I started off with muhammara and zataar manoushe. The muhammara was solid, creamy and the walnuts added a crunch. The zataar was interesting, they added dollops of creami. I have never experienced eating manoushe this way before, it brought in a blast of flavors and a unique way to eat manoushe. The rack of lamb was probably the best I've had. I normally don't mind the gaminess of lamb, you couldn't taste it at all. Overall a really good and unique experience to try Lebanese food, highly recommend. read more

Everything else was disappointing - the octopus was tough and when our waitress told the chef, the chef said they "didn't do anything differently than usual". Toasted carrots were undercooked, lamb chops were bland and upside down chocolate espresso cake didn't seem to have any espresso taste and would have been better warmed up. Came here for a business dinner last night and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was below average -- the falafel especially wasn't good -- and my clients were unhappy. For the prices, it just didn't feel worth it. The restaurant itself is nicely designed, but it lacks atmosphere; live music or a bit more energy would really help. The service was poor -- our waitress never refilled our water or checked on us during the meal, and when we asked for extra pita, they charged $6 for just two pieces that weren't even fresh. We tried to be cool and keep our nerdiness hidden, until we started talking to the people seated next to us... They were huge fans just like us! As a matter of fact, the whole restaurant was filled with Top Chef fans. It was awesome! We geeked out as we could see the chefs in the kitchen preparing our food. 5/5 - Lebanese Flag w/ Crispy Za'atar Phyllo: (Chef Charbel) You take the tree shaped phyllo crisp and swipe it through the sauces. Beautiful and delicious. 5/5 - Onion, Onion and More Onion: (Chef Charbel) I LOVED this! Tied for my favorite dish. It was sweet and delicate...the sauce had such depth of flavor. We wished we had bread to sop up everything (we used our fingers instead) Online, it says that it is topped with a chicken jus and sumac tuile. This is NOT on the menu at Ladyhawk, but everyone should request it so that he gives in and adds it! 5/5 - English Breakfast: (Chef Buddha) My other favorite! This perfect egg dish has luscious yolk on the bottom with the cooked egg whites, pickled hon shimeji mushrooms, crispy black pudding and a brown butter hollandaise on top. Served with a perfectly crisped toast covered with porsciutto that is divine when you dip it in the coddled egg. This course also came with Tomato Tea. It was meant to represent the grilled tomato you normally get, combined with the traditional tea served with an English Breakfast. It was such an interesting dish and definitely tastes llike tomato. It was not our favorite offering, but we were excited that we got to try it and it did not take away from this excellent course. 5/5 - Beef Wellington, Maitake, Perigord Sauce: (Chef Buddha) Excellent! 5/5 - Freezing Myself to Death: (Chef Buddha) Raspberries and raspberry jam, coconut ice and I think the skull was coconut ice cream. The fish is seasoned so well and is delicious on its own. There is a strong seafood sauce on the plate which is too much on it's own, but takes on a complimentary flavor when mixed with the lemon and vanilla. 4/5 - Amuse Bouche: (Chef Charbel/Ladyhawk) It tasted like a kefta kabob. I came here to check off another mark on my Top Chef contestant restaurants. Charbel was so creative and cooked exciting dishes on the show. The food is a 5 but having read the Yelp reviews, I was concerned about the service. Sadly, the reviews proved correct. Our waiter was amazing and is an all star. The operations at a whole in terms of food pacing and service was not at the level it needs to be. I think of Bavel and Bestia where every single employee is on it and your table is watched like a hawk. There were quite some misses like being seated outside when I reserved inside, dishes not being taken away until the end of service, the dip dishes being served not at the same time, and asking for a steak knife and never getting it. Here are my thoughts on the food: -passionfruit sour: perfectly fruity and I love egg foam -pita with babaghanouj and garlic labneh: you get 1 pita bread per dip (they should give 1 more to be quite honest). I loved the smokiness and texture of the babaghanouj. The garlic labneh was more yogurty than garlicky. -man'oushe: everyone at my table loved this dish. The bread texture was crispy and flavorful with the spices. -octopus: I wasn't crazy about this dish since it has some vinegar. My toddler nieces loved the crispy potatoes and we got the potato appetizer after. -scallops: small appetizer but beautifully seared -lamb: delicious! The meat is lean and tasty with the dip. It's a shame they only give you 4 pieces when this is over $60. Could you not spare a few more ribs? -rice pudding and baklava: these were sweet light endings. Unfortunately, the ice cream was such a tiny scoop for the baklava. I liked the Middle Eastern flavors. The food was very solid. Is it as creative as Bavel (which is different but has such unique dishes)? No, but it's a modern take on typical dishes. I just wish the service as a whole functioned more fluidly especially in such a posh area. As for parking, valet is pricey at $20 at the hotel. I was lucky to find metered parking a few blocks away on a Sunday and only paid $4 for 2 hours. Don't even try parking in the residential area with tons of rules (you can't park after 7pm on weekdays or all day Sunday without a permit). Try to get a metered spot if you can. Oh you like creativity too? This place rocks your socks with everything you can order, and is nothing short of what makes so many restaurants great in the WeHo area. It is emblematic of what is going right in LA, and what you can capture when a chef like Charbel Hayek is given the ability to do something in an arena that is seldom done well outside of homes - Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. Bread and sabzi - this is traditional fare until you try the zaatar bread, which is absolutely soft, doughy and well done to perfection. I couldn't believe that I was getting bread that was evenly done in ways that I had never tried before. Labne tomato - the labne is a great alternative to traditional hummus here because the tomatoes are seasoned to perfection, offering a juicy bite with bread that makes you want more, more and more. The tomatoes may have been roasted if I recall correctly, making them sweet and allowing them to pair well with the labne. Kabob torsh - what sets the kabob here apart than other places is the even cooking job and the flavors. You will find that what the chef is doing here is inventive and not just about compensating with fat flavors. Tahdeeg/tahdig - this famed crispy rice dish is a must have with kabobs to mix in. What is nice about this dish here is that you have most parts that are crispy but not blackened. Duck Fesenjoon - this is only the second time I've ever seen fesenjoon made from duck. The only other place was Rumi's Kitchen in Atlanta. I found that the serving size was best shared, and was well done. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try something different. Soltani Kabob - this is a dish that is like cut steak that is rare to rare-medium and while you may not be a fan, trust me it has a texture that is cook all the way through. This felt more like steak than it did your traditional soltani kabob. There's nothing to fear here, just faith in that you can see this type of food get a new level of credibility that should make every other joint shake in their boots. Finally was able to get a reservation here on a Thursday night. It's located in the Kimpton hotel so the best option is the valet but the restaurant will validate to make it $20. It has a cool ambiance and an open kitchen so you see the chef. It was busy but the service was good and our server was very attentive. We started with the Zatar Man'oushe which is definitely a must-try. The tuna crudo was also good along with the halloumi salad. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly and had a delicious sauce. Happy I finally got to try Ladyhawk since I love mediterranean cuisine! To start, the restaurant is located inside the beautiful La Peer Hotel tucked away to the left. Parking is tricky since it is on a busy street in Weho but the hotel offers valet for $20 after validation! The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with an open kitchen to view all of the chefs preparing their delicious dishes. We were so excited to try many items on the menu but were disappointed when they forgot half of our order after 1 hour of waiting. Having recently moved back to area I really wanted to try new places. Ladyhawk popped up on my radar so I decided to give it a try and I'm very happy I did! The location is inside the beautiful Kimpton La Peer Hotel and the beauty follows into LadyHawk. While we waited the drinks arrived and I can truly say they were very tasty. And then the food arrived which was absolutely a highlight! My ONLY nitpick is with the hummus order you only get on slice of pita bread. With the serving size being what it was (and for the price) I feel like more pita would have justified. Located inside the Kimpton La Leer Hotel, Ladyhawk is a middle eastern restaurant with delicious and vibrant flavors and dishes. The Mezze platter is amazing! They also have a mini mezze platter, which is especially good if you don't have as many people to share with, but want a taste of their hits. All of their dips are so good. I especially love the Muhammara. Their crispy potatoes are so good! There falafel are some of the best I've had in LA. The Zatar Manoushe is so delicious. I don't normally love chicken at restaurants, but theirs is soo good. The shawarma steak, Daurade and duck are also delicious. One of the best meals I've had in my life (coming from sometime who has dined at La Colombe - a top 40 restaurant worldwide - and other restaurants with Michelin stars). Situated within La Peer Hotel, Ladyhawk is unassuming, but creates an atmosphere for a night to remember. My family and I arrived an hour before our reservation and the hostess kindly accommodated us early. Our server, Ceci, was also fantastic. She answered our questions thoroughly and remained patient and understanding when we ordered more or decided to forgo previously ordered items. The chairs and couches at the dining tables are extremely comfortable, and the temperature and music are perfection. The hotel bathroom also has a delicate floral smell which imitates a spa experience, further crafting an environment of indulgence and relaxation. However, the food was remarkably light, without lacking flavor. Now for a true deep dive into the food. GET THE MEZZE - we tried the beetroot hummus, babaghanouj, and muhammara with pita and crudité. My dad hates beets but he absolutely adored the beetroot hummus. The other two dips, when enjoyed with the refreshing crudité and warm wheat pita are mouthwatering. The beetroot hummus was fresh and smooth with a beautiful sesame seed garnish on top. The muhammara was delightfully sweet but balanced nicely with a mild caramelized onion center. The babaghanouj was lightly whipped, honoring the subtle eggplant flavor, without the dense and overpowering garlicky taste often found in the dip. The half chicken is also incredible. It was tender and moist (due to being souveed/cooked in water rather than pan fried), and the accoutrements (crisp romaine lettuce cups, small pickles, and fluffy toum) were truly exquisite. The winter harvest zero proof cocktail with pomegranates, ginger, cinnamon, apple, and rosemary was also beautiful and balanced. The olive oil cake with candied oranges was a delicious way to end off the night. A truly unbelievable dinner; I genuinely wanted to eat everything all over again once it was done. All I can say is WOW, I've had some of the best home cooked Lebanese food and this was the closest thing to it around the LA/OC area. It takes alot to impress me, I can be quite critical AND make me want to go back. I could have only had this and would have been satisfied, but that would not have been fair to the juicey tabbouleh salad and skirt steak we had after. It's a must. 2. Za'atar Man'oushe - 10/10 it was recommended to us by our waiter. What a great rec. it's like a Lebanese pizza but with the best combo of flavors and textures. You need to order this! 3. Octopus- could have been crispier but did we eat up this dish in minutes? Absolutely. 4. Leb Nat Gold- stunning champagne. It's Lebanese in origin. It's a sweet, crispy, apple champagne and easy to sip during a meal. 5. Charred cabbage - unbelievable flavors, perfectly charged and great texture ! 6. Carrots- a few slices sitting on a yogurt combined with honey? The carrots are cooked well enough to be firm and not mushy. Great flavor. Another great rec from our waiter. 7. Lamb chops- amazing! The service was great, but it was pretty slow and quiet for a Friday night so I don't know how fast it would be if it was busy. The food was flavorful and fresh, some of it was not hot. Prices were what you would expect for the area. Not cheap but definitely not outlandish. We had the olive oil cake for desert (comped for a birthday) and that was okay. Was able to join without a reservation by showing up when they opened. The restaurant filled up throughout the night. The regular hummus was okay, nothing special. They charged us for an extra pita bread. Charred cabbage was good, I like a warm vegetable. The fish was pretty tasty, I would recommend that. Ambiance is nice but casual enough. I liked the Italian place that was there before, so I wanted to try this new spot - the Italian place was better, sad to say. We will see if this place lasts, I probably won't be back. read more

Ambience and service were exceptional. The food was good, but not as good as what I was expecting from the write up.

First time dining at Ladyhawk and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is located in a beautiful hotel with a great ambiance. Every dish we ordered tasted amazing. Flavors were incredible! Loved how middle eastern flavors were incorporated into each dish, not overpowering at all. Tuna crudo was light, citrusy and well seasoned. Octopus was well cooked, it just melted in your mouth. Garlic labneh went great with the octopus Lamb was very flavorful, and the duck was perfectly cooked, rose honey paired so well with it. Dessert was very light with perfect sweetness level. Came to Ladyhawk with my family to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. We had heard great reviews of this restaurant and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. Ambience and service was amazing! We started with some cocktails followed by some wonderful old world wines. Highly recommend the mezze platter, which is like a greatest hits of dips and spreads, and could work as your main. The ahi crudo and octopus were so well balanced and delicious. The absolute must for this spot is the Za'atar Man'oushe!!! The dough is chewy and the toppings of sauces compliment each other in the most amazing way. We ended up getting the duck, shawarma, and chicken as well which we probably could've skipped because we were so full by that point. All in all, we are looking forward to returning soon. read more

Great ambience, perfect for dinner night but a little loud even for weekday night. Their light was too dim to be practical. Plates are for sharing, so 3-4 items need to be ordered. Food was mostly delicious besides zatar. Zatar was overhyped dry bread with heavy spices and sauces that tasted ok. I would not get this again. Muhammara, baba gounoush, potatoes, we're delicious. Falefals were one of my favorite, very soft and delicious. Charred cabbage was interesting and absolutely delicious. They dont have single vegeterian/vegan entree. But with multiple varieties of appetizers, vegetarians/vegans can still have plenty. Also both my husband and I came home with bloated stomach. Not sure if it was the food there, but we definitely felt it right after. We loaded ourselves with lots of pita bread which could also be the reason. Their pita bread was delicious, fresh, warm, and soft made with whole wheat. So we ordered extra. Mike was very helpful and attentive. We liked his service. Overall we had a great experience and its a must try place. Parking could be tricky. We were there during weekday night so it was easier to park. I'm not sure about the weekend situation. read more

First I will say, the restaurant is beautiful and the food is divine. My issue was the cost of my margarita. We ordered a Casa Amigos Margarita (not top shelf). Please help me understand why it was $32.00 I truly believe that was outrageous....I dine in many high end restaurants in the area ( Westwood/Beverly Hills) and this IS NOT THE NORM! I spoke to the manager who was so rude and defended the price and did not even empathize with my shock or concern. I really want to return but I probably won't. read more
