I took this lovey short two hour trip because I had to get back to the Grand Hotel Dino for the big festivities. Here are the photos. Everything was jam packed so I'm lucky that I decided to take this short excursion.

(Separate reviews submitted for hotel and restaurants...). What a beautiful and charming place... even though for and some rain interrupted the stay, we thoroughly enjoyed being around and on Lake Iseo. It easily rivals Lake Como in beauty, but it is much less commercial and more laid back. We toured the lake by boat one day, spending several hours on the water, even stopped for lunch on Monte Iseo, the island in the middle of the lake. The scenery was spectacular, with the snow-capped alps in the background. What a wonderful day! Highly recommend you visit Lake Iseo, the boat tour is a must!

9th August 2026 Lago di Como…read more Lombardy, Italia 93°F Sunny Humid Steeped in aristocratic elegance, Lake Como features gorgeous historic lakeside villas, regal manicured gardens, and dreamy pastel coloured pedestrian villages. By boat we sailed past the villages of Bellagio, D'Este and Varenna. Each view just as beautiful and breathtaking as the next. No rush here. One must slow down, stay focused on relaxing promenades throughout the town villages, and / or ferry hopping at a leisurely pace to take the time to indulge your senses in the luxury of it all. **Please note, it does get quite crowded and touristy in the summer months, as does most of Italy these days. Pack your patience or travel in the off season** George Clooney has good taste choosing this location for his castle. Grazie mille!

This lake is so quiet and peaceful, compared to Lake Como. Generally those two lakes have different colors of the water, and I think it's worth visiting.
