The adventure started with me asking for a water and the waiter declaring that they would charge 10-70 cr for such and couldn't serve tap water. So I declined any drinks here. Second attempt was met with the same outcome. The pasta was not homemade, but store bought. The meat sauce had kind of a different, heavy taste to it, one I can't quite describe. While it was acceptable, hardly amongst the better I've sampled. The restaurant at 6:30pm remained empty. They didn't know what crushed red peppers are upon requesting such. My credulity is stretched as if you don't know what these are yet claim to serve pasta as they do(?), something is wrong in Denmark (pun intended). This is a tourist oriented restaurant and just isn't worthy of the high star level its reviews reflect. Overall an unpleasant experience.

Whenever I go, I get the same thing-- Rigatoni con filetto di manzo e tartufo (pasta in truffle sauce) and beef carpaccio. The beef carpaccio is so so good! The beef itself is so delicate and melts in your mouth. The parmesan, balsamic dressing, and arugula that come on top of the beef gives the dish a great balance and really makes it special. The rigatoni dish is actually the BEST pasta dish I've ever had. I can't help but to compare all the pasta I've had since the first time I came here to this rigatoni. The rigatoni is coated in a truffle cream sauce with tender beef chunks and then flambéd with vodka in a parmesan cheese wheel so that the cheese melts all around the rigatoni. Literally drooling just thinking about it. SO GOOD! Just a short walk from Gentofte station, so you can easily commute via transportation. They are open for lunch for the first time this week. The place is lovely super well decorated, it is cozy, the music is nice, the service is very good. Don't miss the coffee and the tiramisu it is amazing. They have a nice list of wines I love their Nebbiolo and you can get most of the wines by the glass. They have parking outside. And of course just beside strandvejen so it is always a nice tour. Definitely go try it!!

It's a takeaway place, there's really only two tables outside and none inside. I almost always get the mortadella rucola. It's got a good balance of grease and greens! The grease makes it taste good, the greens fool me into thinking pizza is good for me. If they had a space to eat in, I would love it even more. My salmon pasta was quite generous with the amount of salmon chunks. The sauce was distinct creamy tomato and mixed well with the al dente pasta. When you order you always get the selection of choosing rhye pizza, which I am a big fan of. They have a good selection and they also have potato pizza, which to me as a Swede, is very exotic. ;) Everything tastes really good and natural and the flavours are genuine. They also offer grilled ciabata sandwhiches. It's a busy place but if you eat there you seem to get priority which I like. You can see they are a bit stressed, but I guess that comes with a good rep. I would've rated this 5/5 if it wasn't for Camilla S who wrote a review for Forno a Legna in Frederiksberg which made me go there and taste an even better pizza. But I have only tried that place once. OK. Nevermind, they will get a five (the rhye pizza is worth it!!!). :) PS. Going back to Sweden and tasting the pizza we have there, can't be done. It tastes fabricated and sloppy. Standards raised, CHECK!
