RV sites Camp grounds Cabins The restaurant opens according to the seasons, we visited late April (had the entire area to ourselves) restaurant opens only weekends. Trails around Lago and are not marked but clearly visible. They are very easy trails. Kayaks are available. Lifejackets are available. Propane grills were available on the cabin porches. Just make sure when you check before you get there that you have a full propane tank. Firewood is for sale or you can buy it at the nearby groceries or gas stations on your way in. Speaking of groceries and there's an IGA and Save A Lot within 20 minutes, gas stations, liquor, stores, Family Dollar and there's a downtown Berryville with shops. Farmers markets are seasonal. Check-in is super simple. They will email you a code to get into the door. You don't have to stop by and or check in with the office. We never met the owners. We met personnel on the campground. There's also docks that you can go sit at, gazebo, picnic tables. The actual cabin had towels, hand soap in the bathroom, dish soap, basic pots and pan utensils knives but if you want anything special, I highly recommend you packing it. Definitely want your seasonings food. There's a microwave. There's a coffee pot that uses filters for the 12 cup coffee maker. My husband and I planned a fun weekend camping trip as our last one of the year, and after some recs from friends, decided to book sites at Lago Linda Hideaway. The booking process was decently easy; however, we were disappointed to see that it cost an additional $27 to choose your site, which felt steep and unnecessary. We forewent the cost and selected the option to have staff choose our site. We arrived around 8:30PM due to some hiccups on our travels. The office was still open and the place was busy. My husband went and checked us in. Since we hadn't selected a site, nor had they selected one for us, they gave us our choice of the 3 remaining sites. We drove around a few times and eventually landed on Piney Ridge #2. It was tricky to maneuver our truck/tent into the spot, but we managed. The woman who checked us in (one of the owners, I believe), said she didn't know that there was an extra charge to select your site or an option not to... seems like good info for them to know... Each site is supposed to come with it's own water and electric hookups. Sadly that wasn't the case for us. We had to call the front and ask to borrow 40ft of extension cords in order to use the electric AND had to ask the neighbor to unplug from one of the two outlets at HIS site. We also had to go into his camp or the other neighbor's whenever we wanted water. It wasn't the end of the world; just wasn't what we paid for. The campground is exttremely quiet after quiet hours (11PM), during the night, and in the AM. Super peaceful. It was also quiet during the day. The only time it was crazy was from 8-11PM when folks in their RVs were blasting music and partying. There are two bathrooms with showers and hot water. Be warned that one of them wasn't heated and I only got 2 min of hot water for my shower. They also aren't very clean or updated, but they certainly did the trick. They are also a HIKE from several of the sites, including ours, so be ready to go to the bathroom in the woods at night. The property itself is pretty and the skies were SO clear I think I saw more stars in one night than I have seen in years, cumulatively. The lake was the highlight. My husband and I spent an evening sitting on the dock talking and it was silent and peaceful and beautiful. There are several shared facilities on the property-- like a heated lounge area with a kitchen and a large covered deck and a communal dish washing station (which we used twice). Overall we had a REALLY good weekend and would stay here again. We like a mix of roughin' it and creature comforts when camping and that is just what Lago Linda delivered. They have shower and a nice shared kitchen pavilion. The offer coffee at the place You wanna camp here if you want to stay away from loud crowds and enjoy comfort of nature rather than drums And too much noise. We frequently park our teardrop here for weekends climbing and hiking in the gorge. This is a special spot that offers peaceful seclusion, chill vibes, friendly owners and easy access to nature for a great price. There are small trails throughout the property that are perfect for morning walks and the lake is beautiful. We have made friends that we continue to cross paths with--it feels like summer camp for grownups. read more

This is a perfect hideaway campground that you couldn't ask for better. Plenty of camp sites with shade and full hookups and plenty of room for primitive campsites as well. Plenty of property to roam and explore as well as a giant lake to swim fish kayak and more, the cabin we stayed in awesome as well and such incredible owners, so helpful and attentive, you couldn't ask for a better place to stay, thank you so much for having us! read more

This is not your typical campground. There are 3 areas for RV camping. The first set of spots has 50amps but is very primitive (for lack of a better word.) It's just a bunch of trees with hookups scattered throughout. It's hard to see where one pad starts and another stops. And they're hard to get in and out of. We have a 30ft trailer and it was a really tight squeeze. We needed Larry to help us. Very shady with lots of trees. The second area resembles more of an RV park but they don't have full hookups or are only 30amp.and there are a lot of truck/tent campers. Tons of trees and shade. The last area is capable of handling bigger rigs but there is no shade and is just a grassy lot. Having said that, you couldn't meet nicer owners. Larry helped us get into our spot perfectly. If he offers assistance, take it. He will tell you exactly how to move your steering wheel to get into the tiniest of spaces perfectly. The front bathrooms are iffy but the bathrooms located in the back of the campground were newer and relatively clean. So what this place lacked in pads, it made up for in service. read more

Rented the Red Roof cabin for 3 days, enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin itself looked clean enough but we are too careful and spent about 2 hrs cleaning all the surfaces the first day we arrived. Bed was pretty comfortable, we slept in our sleeping bags and did not use the blankets or sheets at all. Had friends over and we hung out on the covered porch area and on the grassy area outside. The cabin could have hosted 6+ plp but it was only 2 of us staying indoors. Bbq grill was great to have and the kitchen had enough cooking and serving equipment )"( again, before using anything I cleaned a lot!). The cabin has a great view of the lake and it's a nice walk to go around the lake. There's a shore area w a kayak and a canoe that lago lobda guests can use. had a great time kayaking, very peaceful. read more

We loved it!! Stayed in the joe young cabin. It was so cute, comfy, and homey. The property itself is beautiful! The lake has canoes available for guests to use as well as paddles and life jackets. Staff is very friendly. Very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Not to mention, only about 15 minutes away from major climbing areas in PMRP. We will definitely be coming back!! Note: looked like the water heater in the bathroom was exposed and a furnace was brought in to keep pipes from freezing. Nothing bothersome, though. read more

Awesome place for camping. We stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend, and have nothing to complain about. Our site was the new site 19 in Piney Woods. It had a nice little platform for you to set up your tent on (or 3 person tent fit just fine), a fire ring, and its own trash bin (so convenient!). The showers had plentiful hot water (awesome after spending all day outside in the chilly weather), and the bathhouse is totally heated as well. We never got to the shakeout lounge, but we could see from the outside that it had a tv, tables / chairs, and (I think) was also heated. Its a little way off the main road, but you are super close to PMRP if climbing is your thing. Recommended! read more

Lago Linda hideaway provided the perfect backdrop to my first trip to the Red River Gorge. Everything my wife and I were looking for in a campsite was there: great location (especially for people climbing in the Muir Valley), the best showers, clean restrooms and campsites, perfect vistas on-sight, a rec room for rest days, wifi, ice, firewood, and most importantly, an attentive owner! All of the other positives aside, one of my favorite things was that Linda woke up early on a rainy Sunday morning to help us move from a campsite to a cabin. Small acts of kindness like this make a big difference to me, and they went a long way to making my honeymoon (that's right) so much smoother! Best place ever, pretty much. Stayed in a campsite with friends for four nights during a climbing trip. Pros: Beautiful area, quiet campground. Nice facilities that included a climate-controlled lounge with TV, free wifi, covered cooking/washing area, cleanish bathrooms. At $5 a night, it's a win. Cons: The overflow camping area seems to have no capacity limit; there were not enough bathroom facilities that were cleaned often enough to accommodate. Very strong sewage smell at random times during our stay. read more

Had a wonderful stay at the Green Roof cabin. The cabin was very clean with clean towels and bedding. We cooked dinner in the fire pit and ate outside on the table. We also enjoyed canoeing on the lake and hiking in the woods. The campground owner was friendly and welcoming. The name is not lying. This truly is a Hideaway. And I thoroughly enjoyed the quite seclusion. I look forward to returning. read more

By far, the best place I have stayed around the Gorge. We have stayed at the campground and at the cabins over multiple visits. The landscape is beautiful! I love the way the campground is set up. There are official campground spots and overflow that runs into their rolling hills. We took our son camping here as early as 3 months old and were able to get enough distance that we wouldn't disturb others in the campground by camping out in the hills. On top of the awesome camping, the resources available are awesome. There is a covered picnic area with a sink that is available for people to gather and prepare food/eat. There is a nice lounge for people to hangout and have wifi. There is breakfast and coffee at the cafe and ice to purchase for a really great price. In fact, the price is excellent on anything you choose to do! Linda is such a wonderful host! She has created a lovely hideaway that we will be frequenting again and again!! read more

Pretty laid back campground. When we went, we didn't see Linda or any other campground staff. I was frustrated that there wasn't any firewood for sale but the guy in the campsite next to us said that the firewood is for sale in a shed further down the road. We chose our campsite, wrote it down on an envelope and stuck our money into the Honor Box. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained. It's about a 20 minute drive from most Red River Gorge attractions. Each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, trash can and water spout. I liked how chill the campground was and the rich history of it. read more

I have been coming to Lago Linda's for over 15 years. It caters to a climbers in the area but is an excellent camp overall. They have many features not found at other campgrounds. Ice and wood is available on site. There are electric, non electric, and group sites. There is also an unusual barn structure that I believe is for tents too. There are many cabins available for those that don't like to rough it. There are canoes, paddle boats and lake access for swimming. (Note that the lake does not have a life guard and one should know their abilities and swim at ones own risk.) The bath house is clean and has free hot showers. There is also a outdoor community area and an air conditioned lodge filled with puzzles, games and books. There is also a cafe that opens occasionally. I will keep coming back here for many years to come. read more

I've stayed at Lago Linda's Hideaway twice now. If you want an alternative to the noisy crowded camping at Miguel's, this is the place to be. There are 2 open fields to sprawl out in, there are sheltered sites for rainy days (previously horse stables), a well lit pavilion with picnic tables and sink for dishes and a community tv room with books and boardgames. The campground has trailer/RV sites, open field camping ($5pp per night), and a few cabins with WIFI and shower included!! From Lago Linda's it's a 5 minute drive to PMRP. Linda, the owner, is the kindest person you will meet, she truly cares about her visitors and wants them to enjoy their stay.
