The artist or the craft lady not sure what to call her is super friendly and she doesn't mind trying every thing and taking pictures. She sits their and makes masks in front of you. The place is amazing i wanted to cry not to afford anything there, but still a pleasure to be there and to look at her amazing work. The prices are expensive but absolutely worth every euro. She uses real crystals and the pieces are exotic not like any other shop.

They had everything from man bags to leather bound art pads. I really loved one of the leather bound books that had nice stock paper inside and an antique looking latch to close the book. My husband and I have been looking for a good guest book for our new home and I think I've found the one that I want in this store. They also had gift wrapping paper and cards for all occasions. The staff was very friendly and ready to accomodate in English as much as possible. I would reccommend stepping inside if only just to smell the leather and take a peak at what they have to offer. I needed to replace a tube of white Gouache and they had it, so I could keep painting while I was in Venice The address is correct, 1758, but Yelp shows me the wrong place for that address. The correct place is on fondamonta orseolo near the calle train bridge. It's got a canal on one side and a big well thing in front. Check the images, I attached some to show the correct location

It's unassuming exterior does not do justice to the beautiful costumes inside. Although we were not in the market for buying a costume, we were very happy to discover that they created exquisite masquerade masks. After several days of looking at hordes and hordes and hordes of mass produced, Chinese - made masks in all the souvenir shops, it was a relief to finally discover true artisans! Flavia was a very hospitable shopkeeper. She went out of her way to demonstrate all the different kinds of costumes that they provided, showed us pictures of amazing balls that they helped host, fantastical costumes she had created... We didn't just purchase wonderful masks; we had a cultural experience! Thank you Flávia for providing us such a unique experience!!

The paperwork given to us has an unusable email address and I am not able to find a store website or way to communicate other than calling which, I will have a friend who speaks Italian help me with soon. Hoping to hear from them about the order being shipped. It was quite pricey but we felt the quality was well worth it. If I was able to get in touch about my order I'd feel much better and this rating would easily be 4 or 5 stars. Just be sure you have a legit way of communicating once you leave the store.

He hand makes all of the pieces in the shop and you will find him sitting there making new pieces when you visit. I found a necklace that I liked but I really wanted it in blue and he didn't have that color readily available so he offered to make me a necklace on the spot. It took about 10 minutes and we were able to make a video of him making the necklace so it is a very special piece. His prices are super reasonable and everything is authentic Murano and handmade (unlike many of the shops which are now carrying glass for China). He is also super friendly and gave us great advice about visiting Murano and the surrounding islands. I highly recommend you pay this shop a visit if you are in Venice.
