The meat cuts here are excellent. Lots of flavours for little money. Fresh and tasty! Nice to have a charcuterie plate with these meat slices, some bread, cheese and crackers. And a good white wine. Perfect little meal! The baked goodies were really heaven. Butter, chocolate or raisin cookies. Carrot cake - and the star: Toffee cake. Moist, fresh, thick layer of toffee on top. It really doesn't get any better. Excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are more than fair. Located at the northern end of High Street. Not to be missed. We will definitely be back.

It was spicy and clean, so delicious I had to take some home.

It sells the usually comics, magazines and newspapers all newsagents should, and it also has, sweets, juice and other snacks. It has a great selection of birthday cards and stationary at very reasonable prices. They also sell cigarettes, tobacco and pipes. They stock seasonal gifts such as cards in the run up to Christmas and Easter and tourist things for tourists and they even stock seeds and fat balls for the birds.

But the fishmonger in town was closed on that day and the Vans from Bells Seafood not in the area on tour. So we just decided to head down to Scrabster quick by car where Bells is loading and unloading the freshly caught fish and seafood. And we were in luck. Several Bells employees were on site and I just asked if we can purchase some fresh seafood directly from them. And we were really made welcome here and they took good care of us, showing us the wonderful products. Ended up buying a big bag full of crab claws, scallops and shrimp. The claws really were the best we've ever had - and for a bargain price! Forget all the big named restaurants selling their famous crab claws. Get them here! Also the shrimp and the scallops were amazing, just so fresh. Tasted divine. Made a great dinner out of these...with some nice crisp white wine to go with. Really, a fantastic place. If you ever see a van in your area with the "Bells" - look no further. Fantastic fish and seafood - or just head down to Scrabster (even though I'm not sure at what times somebody's around there - we were just lucky maybe).
