They came back 4 more times and I developed severe PTSD. My brain still hasn't healed. I am now just coming out of it however, I still wake up EVERYDAY crying or in a panic. After 30 years of payments these companies closed my claim within a year and lied to me. The first adjuster on site promised me $15,000.00, to start the work. The check never came. I had to use what was left in my retirement to hire people to help get my home livable again and safe. I was not safe. I needed that insurance money to replace the items stolen, hire garage door installers, install a security system, and hire carpenters and cleaners. I used my hometown insurance like my mom n grandparents told me to do, they said they will take care of you because they will know you". Not anymore Grandma, it didn't matter that I supported Bishop Insurance Company for close to 45 years, it didn't matter that I ran two companies through them (Flathead Raft Company, and Creative Dreams), or that I paid homeowners insurance to them for 30 years @ nearly $150.00 a month, or that I was only 6 blocks away from their office. I stayed at my moms after the robbery. I don't even remember 2 plus years after the robbery. I tell people "BIshop Insurance anSafeco Insurances don't give a you know what about you...only money". If I were you I would switch to Nationwide they stand behind their insured. Instead of doing their job and taking care of business they caused lasting damage by victimizing the victim. They knew that I was disabled, sick, and suffering from PTSD caused by the robbery. It didn't matter Grandma. Then the road blocks came. They started switching agents. Asking for impossible tasks. Sending my mail to the wrong address. Now they want receipts and pictures from 25 years ago and they might take another look at it. No promises. I had many receipts, warranties, and certificates of authentication for my art and other valuables that I had worked for 30 plus years for, but they were also taken from me. I'm sure they were taken for quick re-sale. I feel scammed everyday over and over again. I was nothing more than a mark! Thank you for reading this long post.
