Overall not treating staff with respect and showing appreciation for hard work and dedication to the company. the staff accommodations are dirty, gross, and smell. the staff meals are sometimes undercooked and reused food and it is not good. so many complaints about working there. It was exactly as pictured with lots of added touches! In the kitchen we had a large table, big enough to do a 1000 piece puzzle or play a board game (Yes, they have both available) and still have room to eat. The fridge has a built in water jug that automatically refills and the freezer makes 2 kinds of ice (it's the little things that matter!). The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to make and eat your meals (including both glass and plastic for the kids!). Each room has it own heating and cooling system so everyone can set their own temperature. The furniture is cozy and comfortable to snuggle up and watch tv. The beds and bedding are AMAZING! I had my best night sleep while I was there! It was like sleeping on a cloud! The staff is friendly and outgoing and available if you need them! We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant yet but the menu looks incredible so we will definitely be back!

BEWARE!! BEWARE!! We…read morestayed here last year for a reasonable rate and the management was terrific but that is gone now. I'm paying $357.82 a night and I can't get a hold of management at all. Their phone number goes to a third party offsite answering service that has no information about this resort. If you need anything fixed, addressed, or even simple questions about the amenities, the answering service says you'll get a call and I have yet to receive one after 48 hrs of waiting. Here's an example... The pool shut down and we were being told that it would open in an hour. For over a day this was the answer that kept coming. I spoke with the maintenance person more specifically because management was not answering. It was clear that it would have never been an hour. They still needed to test the water and have the inspector drop by which would have never happened in an hour and it ended up being an additional day before it opened. The maintenance person was kind enough to work on it diligently but the repeated lies about the expected opening is just an indicator of how the management feels about their guests. It's day 3 since my message and no call has come. Imagine if I had a more pressing problem. We love that this is a community of cabins and I was going to book another stay for next year but I simply can't anymore. I can't risk it. There was some upgrading to the property and units since last year but now I'm seeing a management that doesn't care. I fully suspect further decline and I'm seeing the start of it. There was a wonderful young lady who worked here and she was spectacular. I've been told she is no longer here. No doubt another indicator of how management treats people. $357 a night and they won't answer the phone. That's how much they care about you. I recommend moving on to a different resort due to severely inflated fees in tandem with reduced management. Your valuable family vacay can easily be ruined here. The picture says it all. An empty office and an empty phone number scribbled on a board. 9 visits to the office.....empty.

This would be advantageous for many as nearby Gravenhurst offers limited and unexciting dining and Bracebridge much the same. During our stay it was mainly large families and the beach areas were lively and crowded, although guests had the option of three pools in the complex.. The attached golf course is renowned and highly regarded in the golfing community and not for high handicappers. Again, another expensive aspect of this resort. However, If you are not budget conscious and enjoy spectacular views and lake activities it should easily provide a satisfactory break or vacation for every age group.

One year we came up for thanksgiving which was a couple of days after my husband's birthday and when we got to our room there was a lovely happy birthday card and a bottle of wine which we enjoyed while watching the sunset. The golf course was lovely. It was perfect for both our levels, challenging but fun. They space out tee times so you really feel like you are the only ones on the course. They also have a park, games room, toddler room and karaoke on Friday's. If you want drinks during the day you can BYOB or there is a cash bar by the pool. Also it's up to you to bring snacks of you need something in between meals. In case, they sell chips and ice crwam at the reception desk if you are desperate! My Favourite so far....was dinner time!!! After fun in the sun it was nice to sit down for a nice dinner. We got a basket of mixes bread at oi4 table as we sat down with a large pitcher of water. I tried the chicken cordon blue because it's not something I usually would order. It was so tender and the cheese oozed out when I was cutting it. It came with red potatoes and fresh vegetables. I appreciated that my misconceptions of this place looking older and what, not were wrong. The dinners were amazing, the food was soo unique and really tasty. I got to meet the sous chef who was in Europe for some time who came to assist the main chef at the lodge. I had Venison for the first time, the lamb was to die for, the chicken as well, their meat was tender. It just seemed so fresh for a lodge, I was impressed. The french fries are sooo good. I dont even eat much carbs but every lunch I ordered a side. Lunch is not bad, but I dont think its anything worth raving about. Breakfast is harty and always have fresh fruit, eggs, yummy bacon and juices. The last night we were there they did a bbq, we really appreciated that they did that for us.
