They completely denied doing the damage, and every time I tried to have a conversation about even splitting the cost of repair, the owner, Jeff, changed his story about what he felt truly happened. The damage was discovered by me (not by the dealership) the day I went to pick it up from them as we went to strap the pontoon down to our trailer. Nobody at the dealership bothered to mention that they even noticed the damage. When I had Jeff and his crew come out and look at the damage, they said they had no idea it was damaged (even though it was clearly visible). When I had my most recent conversation with Jeff about the repair work now this spring, he had a completely different story and stated that he "recalled" hearing the pontoon "bang" when we lowered it off of our trailer. This is a completely untrue statement and had that truly happened, we (the dealership and myself) would most likely have stopped and looked for damage. I have had two welders out to repair the damage, and they both stated that they felt the damage had been created by long forklift tines, potentially when the dealership went in to move the pontoon. Each time I have had a conversation with the owner since discovering the damage, he is extremely defensive, difficult to work with and often confrontational. At this point, it's a finger-pointing game of who caused the damage, us or them, but they are completely unwilling to even consider helping defray the cost of repair. Additionally, I have more warranty work that needs to be done that wasn't complete the first time I took it up to them (40 miles away) and now they're telling me that I either need to lug it back up to them or else wait until mid to late summer for someone to come on-site and replace an entire table/bar. I refuse to bring it back to them, as I do not trust that it will not get further damaged while in their possession. To date I have a $303 expense from a welder, a patched up/dented pontoon that's less than a year old, and incomplete warranty work. I would never consider purchasing from this dealer again in the future and have contacted the manufacturer to share my concerns. After spending what I did on this pontoon, I would have expected more from 66 Marine. I would never recommend anyone purchase from them and if you do bring your boat/pontoon/etc. to them for service, take photos of your vessel prior to leaving it with them to keep them honest.

I guess that's understandable and, fortunately, I was able to repair it myself. They have a boat launch that is not for public use. Ugh, this would be so convenient for me because they are so close by (but it's also understandable). Fuel is the least expensive on the lake (hooray!). During some weekends in the Summer, they host a food truck with some outdoor seating and games like corn hole. It's a nice concept and we have eaten there once but skipped it the last few years because the food truck worker/owner was playing Jason Aldean music and sporting his t-shirt (If you're not sure who he is, just Google "racist country singer" and you'll see him near the top of your search results). Facts: The "Try That in a Small Town" music video by Jason Aldean was filmed at the Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee. This location has a history of racial violence, including a 1927 lynching and 1946 race riots. The video also incorporates news footage of protests and riots, which led to controversy and CMT pulling the video from rotation. If you skip the food truck too, you won't be missing anything special. The food was pricey and exceptionally basic, 'drunk people food'. If you're looking for a good value on some good food, it's totally worth it to enjoy a boat ride to the DQ in Crosslake instead.
