The new owners are a sweet, personable Midwestern couple. They recently installed satellite TV and Wi-Fi in all the rooms, and provide free (ice cold) bottled water for guests. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some relaxation time in this part of the state.

One sure fire way that I would recommend is a camping trip. last year our favorite Florida camping area, Kissimmee Prairie added a series of glamping cabins. I was not a fan. We have been coming every year for many years, and in the past 6 years or so we have been coming every spring and fall. We invite friends and family and have had a different mix of people every time. My brother-in-laws family decided to come but they got the glamping site near our tent site. I thought it would create a camping class system. I was wrong. The gals and kids in our group that weren't ready for tent camping were so happy about having a way to camp but have a nice bed and AC and heat as needed. this past weekend my sisters family came and glamped with us. I'm not sure they would have come camping if it wasn't for the glamping sites. And with that and last year I'm so happy there is glamping at our favorite spot. It opened up doors to people to relax and disconnect that wouldn't otherwise see the opportunity. We will go again this fall, and we will probably have a few friends happily in the glamping cabins.

Yes I had neighbors who were a little loud during set up, teenage boys and a younger sister who liked to scream a little too much while playing. But once she settled down, peace resumed. I went in February on a Cloudy night which meant only a few stars could be seen but I would love to return when the Milky Way is visible. It truly is in the middle of nowhere, make sure you take enough food and drinks for your stay, but just to unplug from all of the craziness for a little while was fabulous. The tent was spotlessly clean and well thought out, the nearby bathrooms were also exceptionally clean.

Been to Florida several times in the past and never saw an Alligator. On the way to the Hunting area I saw a smaller Gator so you can cross that one off !. We were on Hogs pretty fast. The only thing was the hunt was over within an hour. Fast forward to the lunch. Deep fried Mahi mahi and fries! It was fresh and you could taste that. All in all it was very nice! I would recommend it and so far after hunting several places in Florida this was the best experience. They offer other hunts so go look the website over. Had a wonderful experience at the lodge over the holiday weekend. The owners are amazing and…read morecatered to all our needs. We went on the Eco tour and got to see the wildlife and the amazing property. We did skeet shooting as a family and other went on the hunts. The rooms are clean and cozy and the beds are very soft. The meals are first class and the chef is great. Ended our days by the fire pit with family. It was a great trip and will definitely be back and recommend to our friends.
