"Sometimes the wrong train takes us to the right station" which that's how I found this gem. A fresh start in this new year I made it to Jurupa Valley to go down Lake Mathews. I'm expecting to see Golden Eagles, and Bald Eagles esp the winter time. Unfortunately, there's no public access to Lake Mathews. I turned around to check Lake Mathews General Store & then right next door I stumbled upon this L.M.F ( Lake Mathews Feed & Gifts) completely by chance. The nearest cities are Corona or Arlington in the Inland Empire. This totally isolated Lake Mathews raunchy paradise is surrendered by freshness, openness, slow breeze and the warm sun. Yes, there's a couple of ranch houses in an inco-operate town. The lady at the counter gave us a warm welcom & very courteous way of treating the customers which very rare to see in metropolitan these days. All the vintages are reasonable prices and livestock feed are well-stocked. There's a yute ( Google it " my cousin vinny film - Yute") who chit chat and guide around the countryside of things to do in this region. Yes, they have their own pace and slow down toward life. I understand that some folks didn't enjoy this kind of attribute. Everything became the stories and memorial lying under our skins that why should we take breath in and enjoy the moments to light up the seconds of each other lives. You know what, my Berner pup, Gnasher enjoyed their present & I do have a good vibe for the new year in this L.M.F. We don't need to go to Montana to get experience of Yellowstone & rug cowboys. Why don't we stop by Lake Mathews and Peris, California to meet and greet locals. Roll the dice!!! I assure you could find people speaking from their heart in this L.M.F and surroundings ! Unfortunately a Terrible Experience! We appreciate small businesses and do all we can to support them. For a long time now, we have bought hay at this feed store even after their prices drastically have risen- but NO MORE. We have since decided to go elsewhere because of CATHY. We had coordinated with Cathy at the register to deliver a very large amount of hay to us on the same day. She was given explicit instructions to ensure a delivery time before having the hay delivered. This was due to us not being home and explaining that our livestock was roaming on the premises and it required us to be home to contain our large dogs to prevent any safety hazards. However, we noticed Cathy was not calling us at all to update us on a delivery time even after numerous attempts were made with her. Cathy only stated she had no specific time yet, but would call us. Several hours later, we discovered through our surveillance cameras that her deliverer showed up while we were not home and opened the gates exposing our livestock, including poultry, to our large dogs. A man gate was also left opened. When Cathy was contacted she was less than professional and dismissed our concerns by saying, "We deliver hay all the time. What's the big deal." Cathy did not care or seem to understand that this could have caused a massive problem had one of our dogs attacked our livestock or gotten out of the property or attacked a person on the street. Cathy did not seem to comprehend the liability issue the feed store could face had a horrible event occurred. Cathy of all people (a Lake Mathews member who owns livestock herself) should have understood and taken full responsibility, but instead she decided to get an "Attitude." She was so dismissive about what I actually saw on my own cameras claiming none of it was true and when I demanded to speak with the owner, Shelly, Cathy said I would have to wait until Monday. Cathy then hung up on me. When I called back she lied and said her name was "Cindy" and was trying to play it off as if it was not her and finally caved in and said it was her- VERY CHILDISH! It was a terrible response by her and clearly Shelly never called me even though I requested a call several times. What is sad is that the delivery guys told me that they get complaints from customers about Cathy all the time, so Cathy must be a constant problem. I am actually shocked this would be happening under Shelly's nose and it is still not address it. The good thing is I have since found a new feed store that charges $6- less for a bale of orchard. I've been buying ranch supplies from this family owned business for over a decade. Great personal customer service and very competitive prices with a friendly staff! It's such a homey and family oriented business that's only lacking an old Franklin stove and a cracker barrel. I highly recommend them for all your ranch and livestock business. read more

When my dog was suffering from food allergies, Shelly was very helpful getting us on track with a new diet and supplements. My dog was feeling better within a few days. I usually have my items delivered and the delivery guys are super helpful. And when I do stop in store to grab a few things, I am always greeted with a smile. I bought a few bales of #1 alfalfa hay two weeks ago but was given a lesser quality hay. Went there are asked "Eric " about it. He admitted that the bales were light . We went into the building and he asked for the lady inside to look for the invoice. He was saying things like supposedly I bought it etc. after a few sentences of him calling me a liar, I said I didn't like his attitude and he started yelling at me! Then he told me to shop elsewhere. Talk about terrible customer service and cheating me with overcharging for the hay. $20 a bale that weighs about 70 pounds. read more

They saved my puppy :) They don't have a ton of choices for food but I have no complaints on service. I took my puppy in to buy food and shots, not only were they extremely nice but they saved my puppies life! The young man at the desk told me he thought my pup was too young, under 6 weeks when I was told 9. If I would have given him his shot he could have died. Another kind man came to give my pup some love and noticed ticks on his ear, without thinking he asked me if I would mind he removed them and he did! So happy I found this place, they have my business for life! read more
