For the last two years, this company has prepared our taxes with no issues. This year, however, we…read moreexperienced some very unprofessional behavior. We scheduled an appointment several weeks ago and meanwhile, we got all of our documents ready so that they could have everything they needed. Then, less than 48 hours before our appointment, they called to cancel the appointment and said they could no longer fit us in. They said they weren't prepared to meet. We were left having to scramble and find anither company at the last minute, causing a great deal of stress. They seemed not to realize what a difficult position this put us in. It appears that their scheduling was disorganized and if they couldn't handle their customer load, they should have said something sooner. This was very unprofessional.

It's a above and beyond their normal service. The I RS sent me a letter telling me my 2021 taxes were all screwed up and I owed additional taxes. Not to worry... I HAVE PEACE OF MIND COVERAGE. Well, here's where it gets interesting. NO ONE WILL EVEN TALK TO ME. Tried everything. Even being shunted off to a new tax analyst. She won't call me back either. Let the games begin. My reco - Stay away from HRS. Definitely don't pay for PEACE OF MIND coverage.

All I can say is WOW....the hours of work this saves me in terms of tedious things it now does for me, for no mistakes, payroll taxes computed/paid/reported for me. Clean records that do not need to be compared with an outside person doing quarterly reports anymore. Had I known I would have done this so much sooner! Add to that that Mueller and crew can jump in and help me without my sending an accountant's file. No more backups, loading software updates. This is one of those AMAZING things that are so few in life - what you get is so much better than you can imagine and so worth the $!

I was a client with Lawrence when it became Balanced Equation... before Jackie Compton took it over…read moreso stayed with the company. She immediately tripled my monthly payment and did less. They are very combative, and if you say ANYTHING, or actually ask them to work for what they are paid for...well, I did, and she gave me ONE DAYS notice and resigned. BEFORE she informed me she resigned, she changed my access to my online portal and locked me out. I asked for 24 hours, and was told I had 12. They are also incompetent. This spring, I sent them all of the names and addresses of my vendors...and they sent last years 1099 information to ALL of my vendors. The year before, they did not send the 1099's at all. What a mess. asked for help in how to save on paying so much income tax...her response was I should work harder. PLEASE, PLEASE...save yourself from potential lawsuits and find someone competent. I rarely post a review on anything or anyone, but feel very strongly that if I can save anyone else the money and trouble... it is something I really need to do. Compton Accounting, or Balanced Equation is unbelievably incompetent and unprofessional.

Unfortunately, our agent retired and we were transferred to Danny Barnhart. Mr. Barnhart and his assistant Daphne Walker have not been helpful. If you are looking for an advocate to help you when you need it with your insurance, this is not a good agency. If you want to feel like you can trust your agent, keep looking. Without sending any notice, they cancelled my car insurance for 2 months. I found out when I couldn't register my car on-line. I called in to Daphne and she explained that I needed to sign a form. I signed the form and my insurance was re-instated. Then, they back-charged me for the two months. This would not have happened with our old agent or another competent State Farm agent.
