Most of the stuff is dirt cheap, but beware, as you can easily end up spending a fair few quid once you've had a look around. There's a wide selection of canvas prints and frames, lots of arts and crafts things, a huge selection of pet goodies, a garden centre section, beds, tables and chairs, sofas, bedlinen, bathroom stuff, tools, kitchen stuff, sweeties, pop, crsips, a coffee shop, sewing things, and BEANBAGS, I put that in capital letters because beanbags are hard to get hold of nowadays. Everything for the home, including furniture, cutlery, pet food, garden plants, and random sweets and coffee near the tills! The cafe is very basic, but cheap and cheerful. You'll probably spend a bomb here, but you'll save in the long run.

And has abslutely everything you could ever need from putting a couple of pictures up, to painting your front room, right through to building a new house! The garden centre is off to the right of the warehouse on entering and has a massive array of plants for the garden as well as sheds, fencing, gravel and everythnig else you could need for the garden. There is a massive lighting display at the rear of the store. They've often got a good selection of reduced end of line lighting near hear too in one of the aisles. We bought a full fitted bedroom suite form this particular B&Q taking advantage of their full design service. We took our room measurements in to them and they helped us with the layout and style of bedroom we wanted. They have all the ranges on show so it was easy to picture what each on would look like. this place is hugh! it has:-…read more a garden center cafe timber yard equipment hire bath suites furniture (flat packs) lighting tiling paint wall paper fire places worktops, that you can have cut on site power tools hammers, nails, nuts and bolts, locks and chains, christmas decorations, cement and sand etc etc the list could go on, it seems to be every mans haven? we go in, and i see single men walk in and then they start herding together over the lastest power tool, or the new twist in screws etc, its the only time i think men do this bonding thing? if it had a shoe section, ok it does but its mainly steel toe capped shoes, and i can't get excited over them! i may let my man stay longer. but he makes the excuse about needing something or the other, just so he can have a mill about the place? and he doesn't even do DIY in the house! he came home last, after he popped in after work, with 4 packs of floor tiles £1.50 bargain! this was for the bathroom floor! the tiles are still in the corner of the kitchen! their there on account that he forgot to pick up grout? in other words another excuse to go back for a peacefull mill about the place! though his been back enough times for this grout! think these tiles are his bargain trophies! so have little hope of the bathroom floor getting done, any time soon! bless him. oh i forgot they even do cuddly toys and sweets! the toilets are near the cafe, basic but well kept. so if you want some peace, send your man here! price wise its not bad according to him indoors.

However, I'd rather go in here than B&Q anyday. For one thing, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They'll help you find what you're looking for, even if they don't stock it. The range of things they do stock is surprisingly extensive. The shop is something of a warren of rooms, so there's more to it than there appears to be from the outside. It's a bit more expensive, but if you're local it's definitely worth a try first, before you venture further afield.

It's an amazing place. The prices are obviously wholesale so you need an account. The depth of the range is overwelming as there is so much stuff in their catalogue. The final star is missing (the range of products easily deserves it) as the staff can sometimes be a little distant. I was missing a tiny part of the fridge I bought (a screw cover) but no matter how many times I requested it they couldn't supply it even though the fridge came without it in the first place ('it must have got lost in transit' they said). It's a family business so maybe that is something to do with the slightly distant attitude, but an excellent place no doubt.

Despite this there was a 'needs must' situation whereby my boyfriend and I had just purchased a new king sized bed, as a result of this lots of new linen was required. Gah. It's not the most fun to find a bed for a bargain and then have to spend more on the sheets! But, with the wonderful help from the ladies in Yorkshire Linen I was not going to leave disappointed. I told her the things that we needed and the styles that I like and the budget. It was pretty much, from there, job done! She knew the store back to front and so took me straight over to a lovely inoffensive cream embroidered sheet, duvet cover and pillow cases. Perfect. Curtains we found a mili second later, some gorgeous brown flower printed velvet effect full length curtains. Beautiful. And finally, to match in with my duvet cover from home, the curtains and carpet, (yes, I gave in to it) we got some lovely brown and purple cushions - you know, to tie it all together... I mean, even though I didn't need the cushions, they do look pretty smart. Best of all the trip cost about two thirds of what it should have, she helped me to pick the sale items, and for the pain relief of the visit having only taken about 15 minutes or so, I was delighted. Perfect service, good prices and lovely stock. What more could you want?

(They might as well jump on the Christmas flogging wagon along with what seems like every other store in the world as soon as Halloween has passed) From the outside I thought it looked a bit tacky and naff (which most of it's stock was) but then I discovered the duvets. They had one of their discount duvets hanging outside its packaging for you to touch and wow at the softness of its pearly white skin. I touched. It was immense. I wanted to curl up inside the box along with all the other duvets and sleep like a baby. I had succumb to their 'interactive' marketing ploy. "I don't need a duvet!" I thought whilst obliviously reaching for my wallet in a trance....luckily I had no money. It's a pure treasure trove of locally crafted art work, paintings, crochet, knitting, jewellery, decorative pieces, hand bags, furniture and more. Each section has its own personality, and the shop shines as a haven of talent, made up of the various creative items displayed within. I realise this perhaps speaks to those who enjoy pretty things a little more than those who don't, but I'd whole heartedly recommend anyone wander in and take a good long browes - be it for gift shopping, inspiration, or simply to marvel at what can be created by our local talent. What's more, Fabrication hold regular classes, including sewing lessons, crochet and more. I've intended upon taking a class for some time, but haven't found the time, although I've heard some very good reports from folks I know who've partaken. Essentially, I've wanted to learn how to sew for a while, since it's one of the many talents my mother has that I didn't take advantage of whilst at home, and would love to see if I can continue the trend. The Brudenell is one of the best music venues I have ever been to. Nice way to commemorate my love of it by framing these cards. Staff were very friendly as well. A must visit each time I am in Leeds.
