Her team worked nights and weekends to ensure they were prepared to represent me in court. The lawyer my ex hired seemed unprepared and unmatched in comparison. Cannot thank YLaw enough.

That lawyer had obviously NOT reviewed any of my background information and was uncertain about how the law could be applied to the predicament I was in. Dana, on the other hand, seemed extremely prepared for our initial consultation. Clearly, she understood my problem (estate litigation) and how to solve it. I felt like I could trust Dana, and so did my brother, who was present for the consultation (a conference call, at my request). Immediately after speaking with Dana my brother said, "Well, that was a complete turn-around from that other law firm." I really did breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that Dana was going to take charge and get results where I couldn't (after more than eight months of trying on my own). Certainly Dana delivered, all while deftly handling my personality which sometimes showed the anxiety and stress I was under. Dana was fast, too, because she understood that I had a time-sensitive matter. Dana is a great professional and I would recommend her and YLaw to anyone. Dana killed it!

After I got into a car accident and got a letter from ICBC saying my claim was denied, I actually…read morewasn't sure what to do (I'm not a lawyer; nor have I ever dealt with an ICBC claim before). Many people I would assume would probably be in the same situation at some point. A good friend recommended Mr. Robert Pryer, so I decided to meet and see if he could do anything for me. Parking by this office is quite nasty, so you may want to take SkyTrain. The office is actually way down the hall after you get out of the elevator and turn R. I had to look at the different doors and find my way. Staff were friendly, and professional. They reassured me on the process, and most importantly, gave me direction on how to proceed with a claim. Mr. Pryer has expertise in defending AGAINST claims (he used to work for ICBC), so this is exactly the kind of lawyer you want - one who has gone to the dark side and come back to fight for the people. He knows the ICBC system inside and out, and knows exactly how to work the system against ICBC. The staff kept me in the loop as my case progressed, and whenever a payment was needed or there was an update in progress, they would give me a call. The only out of pocket expense I had to pay up front was $250 (of which $50 was later refunded due to costs being lower than anticipated) to start the claims process. Everything else they fronted, then deducted from the settlement. They charge a 33.33% contingency, but this went up after taxes (GST/PST) and other expenses (such as having to pull my medical files from the doctor) were deducted. After all was said and done, I ended up with 55-60% of the settlement amount (tax-free). This percentage will change depending on your settlement amount, but just thought I'd give a heads up in case your amount is slightly lower than expected. If you are indeed injured after even a minor car accident, I would HIGHLY recommend retaining Mr. Pryer as counsel. This man knows what he's doing, and according to my friend, has a 100% success rate based on my friend's referrals. After he was done my case, his streak continues. No guarantees of course, but the odds are stacked in your favour if you have a legitimate case. Even though my experience was contingent on their ICBC expertise, this office also practices immigration law as well. They have staff who are bilingual in English and one of Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, or Mandarin. One last fact - in case you are wondering about Mr. Specht, unfortunately he passed away in 2012.

Mr. Pryer really took the time to understand my situation and created a few attainable options for me. What really stood out for me was that Specht & Pryer was not interested in charging me for things they weren't capable of solving, which was refreshing. I highly recommend this trustable team!
