We thoroughly enjoyed both of our stays at Anchor Inn on the Lake. We stayed several nights both times and had great experiences. The owners are incredibly nice and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious, unique, and different every day. There are paddle boats and kayaks to take out on the lake, a humongous deck to enjoy wonderful views of the lake and local wildlife, and spacious rooms to relax and stay in if desired. One of the rooms has a cool 2nd level with a jacuzzi tub that has a great 360 degree view. And the sheets....OH MY GOODNESS the sheets!! There are several layers of sheets and covers on top of an already comfortable bed, which makes for a night's sleep like no other. I always have trouble sleeping, but not there! The Inn is in a great location. It is out far enough to enjoy a peaceful and serene environment but close enough to the attractions of Branson and the surrounding areas. You just can't beat the great location. They also have a rewards program to earn free nights. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay around Branson.

The breakfast was delicious- we had French toast with nuts and strawberries. There is a large common deck to sit outside and a sun room. The Mediterranean room has its own private deck as well. There is direct lake access from the property and you can use their two kayaks or paddle boat. The sheets on the bed are absolutely amazing and the two person jetted tub is wonderful and well kept. It was a wonderful getaway and worth every penny for its level of relaxation and seclusion. There is also free wifi and great cell signal.

The coffee room is nice and extra towels and toilet paper can be found down there. Tried the cafe for pie and coffee. Pie was great! The only reason The Bradford gets 4/5 is because the bathtub was difficult to get in and out of. Not impossible, but care needs to be taken. Also, I miss the days of daily housekeeping. It might have been available if requested, but I didn't ask. We stayed for four nights. Would recommend and will stay again!

The onsite restaurant is convenient for breakfast, and the free game room (foosball, billiards, shuffleboard) and free coffee makers all day. The rooms are nicely decorated and updated, however the noise can be loud if you are not on the top floor as you can really hear the noise from above. So I strongly suggest you get a higher floor (we were on the first floor). Check-in and check-out very easy with automated pin based door codes. Parking was easy as well for room guests in the back, however note that the restaurant gets really crowded by locals or other area guests seeking the good breakfast. I definitely recommend staying here if you don't want to be in the crazy area of downtown Branson. Note it is not walkable to anything else, so you would need a car to get any place.

Will you still live in Branson and when we left we would always come back and stay at red bed Cove. At that time it was a bed-and-breakfast and enjoyable clean place to stay. So I assumed even though a rental company had taken it over. It would be basically the same without the breakfast. Boy was I wrong! This has been absolutely the worst stay ever in Branson since 1975! I took a video upon arrival as I always do in case we needed to have something done. The place wasn't very clean upon arrival. Spiders were in the tub plus there were roaches. There is a mattress topper on the bed that is too small for the bed so the pillows sink into the space between the bed and the wall. The first evening we contacted rent Branson due the fire alarm battery going out. They came and changed those while we were out of the unit. We had to call them again in the evening due to two dogs in the next unit barking uncontrollably for over two hours because they were left in the unit by their self. We were told that they would contact the people. Maybe they did call them, didn't change anything second day again we had to contact rent. Branson due to the dog barking left unattended in the unit. We asked at that time if you couldn't move us to a different unit different place. We were told that they would check with management and see. The next day the carbon monoxide started beeping and it beeped continually we called again!!! we asked for management to contact us. That's a joke! Management does not contact anyone they could care less about the people that are renting from them. That next morning, while we were gone, they came in the apartment and took the carbon monoxide unit stating that the apartment didn't really need it. Even though there's a gas fireplace in it with a pilot light lit. Upon leaving the apartment they left my door unlocked! I was gone all day working came back to the apartment. The lights were on, and my door was unlocked. I told the office about that but as usual nothing. On our final night there a group of young men who rented a unit in our building saw the window on the lower floor and said there's a window and threw rocks at it. We were already in bed. I got up and went outside and confronted them, and I told them that I would be calling the police.

Every day we were served hot breakfast straight from the oven in the beautiful dining room. I think it can be truly said that if you start your day with a nice warm breakfast then everything seems right. This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast and we loved it! Everyday there was something new and it was served to us right at our table. It made us feel pretty special. I cannot imagine how beautiful this place must look in winters covered with snow all around. We went in summer and everywhere we could see colorful flowers. The water in the lake was sparkling like diamond and it was so clear and peaceful and we used to spend hours looking at it.

From the moment we stepped out of the car we were greeted by Kathy, a warm greeting you might get from your Mom or Grandmom on special trip home. The place comes with tons of history, including being used by Bonnie and Clyde at one time. But all that is for them to tell you on your visit. I'm going to tell you about mine. I am not a fan of strangers at my dining table. But this worked. We were put so at ease by our hosts and the charming surroundings that what might seem uncomfortable to a recluse like me, was in fact was one of the best dining experiences of my life. Five courses, three hours, delightful. If you are looking for a unique dining experience this is it. Fine china, excessive silverware, romantic lighting, boots and jeans, come on down. The food was four stars, the experience, atmosphere and hosts were an eight! Oh, and you can stay here too. Don't miss it....it's a fond memory I will revisit.

Details of our stay--received an email the day before our arrival stating the owners had purchased new furniture, bedding, and had "stocked" the room with "luxury" items. Nothing was new, furniture outdated but okay, and no luxury items of any kind were present. The "dedicated work area" was a small round table, with two old chairs (like you find in a dentist's office from the 90s). The advertised, provided breakfast was a pint of milk, 2 small individual juices, two small granola bars, and two individual cold cereals--one of these expired by six months. This was all the breakfast for two people for a two-night stay. The advertised sauna was extra cost, though was listed as free. With cleaning and service fees, room was $175 a night. Weird thing--our room had a small flyer with the picture of a young girl, with a short bio stating she was 13 and was the housekeeper for the room. Unless they are violating child labor laws, I assume this was one of their kids (and could still be a child labor violation?) A blatant ploy for tips or sympathy or...? All in all, way overpriced and not as described/advertised. Their Facebook post states all rooms are remodeled with fireplaces--not true. We had an issue with safety and reported it, nothing was done. This place in no way felt like a wellness spa stay.

When we first arrived, a man was sitting behind a closed door to the right of the entry in a recliner, almost hiding behind his laptop. We walked into the lobby and saw no one, so we went and knocked on the door of the room where the man was sitting. He finally spoke to us and we were able to get to our room. later than evening, we wanted to take a shower, but found that the shower had no faucet, only a pipe coming out of the wall. That left us no choice but to take a bath in the jacuzzi. Getting in and out was problematic for me, and truly almost dangerous, but I managed. On top of everything else, there is no breakfast so it is false advertising to call it a "B & B". Whereas under the prior owners, I rated the place a 5 out of 5, and referred numerous friends to the place over the years, I am stretching it to give it a rating of 2. Needless to say, we won't be back. It should be noted that the "host", when told of the shower issue, advised that his wife had been working on it and he thought it was finished. He did move us to another room, but the shower in the other room hardly left room to turn around and the water never got more than luke-warm. All I. all, it was a VERY disappointing experience. PS - a phone call on Saturday to advise of the problem with the room was never returned.

The dining hall is beautifully adorned with cabin-esque motif and overlooks the campus and mountains. The menu has a great variety and notes items that are made by the students (e.g. butters and cakes). Their complimentary, fresh made bread basket with three types of butters was a fantastic start to the meal. We ordered the mushroom soup, the pork belly sandwich w/ fries, and the shrimp and grits. I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal. This is an excellent stop and our student server provided excellent service - they're doing a great job there and is a highly recommended of ours during your stop during your visit to Branson.
