They were always very tactful. They never gossiped any of our neighbors or anything like that. Holly and Don are the consummate professionals. Woodmere Townhomes is an older complex, so yes, there are a lot of maintenance challenges. Their maintenance personnel are especially responsive and very pleasant to work with. When the handle to our sliding glass patio doors broke off, the response was prompt. When our pipes froze (only for a day and a half) in 2018, the response was also immediate. It was a cold snap and a few apartments had frozen pipes for our washer and drier. Maintenance wasn't able to unfreeze the pipes, but they tried. A day later, water was moving again and we could do our laundry. Management and maintenance people followed up to ensure that everything was okay. What more could a person expect? The design of the individual apartments is very nice: our apartment looks much larger than it really is. The entry overlooks the living room: I thought it was pretty. We had sliding glass doors to a small porch. We had about 27 different species of birds and a herd of 9 deer that visited regularly. There are amenities I would like (such as walk-in closets, etc.), but you can't beat Woodmere Townhomes for value. My husband and I always felt safe in and around our apartment. The apartment complex tends to be quiet. People work during the day, come home, grab their mail, and go into their apartments. Very rarely do we have any interactions with our neighbors. With the dreadful coronavirus keeping more people home, the parking lot has become a social gathering place! It's pretty fun seeing our neighbors outside sitting in the lawn chairs and soaking up the sun. Yes, you could find comparable apartments for less, but not in Cedarburg. You could find apartment complexes with more amenities, but then they would cost more. Woodmere Townhomes is pretty sweet for the price.

In the Spring, Woodmere will be finishing up the massive project of replacing all windows and patio doors. There is always an improvement project in the works at Woodmere Townhomes. Units are getting upgrades that include washers and dryers, high energy efficient appliances and more. The well maintained fitness center is a great place to work out and very convenient. Woodmere has a park-like setting. It's a little like country in the city. You might even see a deer outside your Woodmere window.

The manager was friendly and approachable from the first day that I toured the apartment. That friendliness continues, as he will say hello and call me by name whenever I see him around the premises. My unit received a fresh update just before moving in- maintenance installed a new fridge, new flooring, new carpeting, and a whole new bathroom. Whenever any issue arises, the manager is quick to respond to a call or text, dealing with the issue in a very timely manner. Finally, the cost of the monthly rent cannot be beat. The apartments include heat which is controlled by your own thermostat in your unit and underground parking which is a huge plus for our Wisconsin winters. The owners are onsite everyday and are a phone call away on the weekends. As well as an onsite manager there 24\7. They are all very easy to communicate with. When there is a problem that needs to be fixed it is taken care of in a timely matter. The owners have put in 4 brand new studio apartments that are wonderful.

We applied for a 2 bedroom this year after living away for a year, but the new staff does not have their stuff together. We had told them about our move in date, and was assured it would not be a problem. Filled out the litany of paperwork required for my cats as ESA (they are registered), was told we weren't going to get the one we wanted so we switched to a different place with a similar view. After everything went through (including the payments for the applications) we were told they couldn't hold the apartment for us. WHAT A JOKE! I haven't felt so jerked around in a long time. Be careful, and don't believe everything they say.

I got a nasty little letter stating that I had to leave as soon as possible and they never gave me a logical reason as to why and they took my security deposit without giving me a reason why. If this is how they treat their long term residents, shame on them. Wangard likes to play games that they can't win. Clint Miller the property manager, is also extremely unprofessional and won't be a man and talk to his residents when there is an issue, rather just states it in an email.
