This 600 square foot space is a sensory overload with something for everyone. When you browse you see so much. Don't think one pass through is enough, you will see something you missed everytime you look around. It’s not cluttered, but tastefully laid out to showcase many unique gift items. At 18 years old, I was “picking” before that was even a term used. My passion is finding vintage items to use in unique ways. Fast forward to two years ago when I decided this was what I wanted to do. This empty storefront was available and I went to work. My shop reflects my personality.There are many items that are unique and one of a kind. Think Vintage decor and so much more with a happy retail therapy vibe! I guess I wasn't thrilled enough for him after having worked a shift this morning. However, I didn't realize I needed to bring my own customer service skills to enter the store. He walked away and said, "well, she didn't have any manners!" I left immediately. I was shopping for furniture not insults. You may need to reassess your own manners and also remind yourself that you work in an antique store in Alabama. You're not saving lives.

My fiancé and I were at a loss trying to find gifts to give our parents when we get married next…read moreweek. We were looking for something original that actually had some thought put behind it. Everywhere we went, things looked the same or it was over priced. We stopped in to Hartlex, thinking it would probably be just furniture but we were desperate. This has now become our official shopping place for gifts. It's not just antique furniture (which were all STUNNING by the way), but decanters, beautiful wall art, jewelry, bed and bath items, lighting, crystal...SO MUCH. We were there for hours and enjoyed every minute of it. We ended up leaving with some things for ourselves too. The owners are hilarious and very personable which made the experience even better. 10/10 would recommend.
