This is perhaps one of the worst dentist I've ever dealt with. They have absolutely no regard to your situation all the want is money. You tell them what tooth hurts they want to X-ray 4 other ones and charge. I'm not from this town, and I'm not the doctor type so when I break down and go it's bad. So I didn't need a treatment plan I needed the tooth that has me running a fever pulled.. With what they charge I cannot ever afford a honest dentist now. read more

My visit could have been better. I will admit that they got me in the same day because I have a horrible toothache from a broken tooth. However, when I was seen by the dentist, Dr Heizer, he told me that he could call in antibiotics but that he didn't have time to pull my tooth before his lunch. I had never heard of a doctor putting lunch before a patient before. I also was charged $138 for my "visit" which included xray and telling me that they didn't have time to help me today. On their website they have a "good Samaritan policy" stating for emergency visits the xrays & exam are no charge, however when my wife called their office back and asked about it, she was told "you have to ask about that prior to your visit", even though she had already told them that I was self-pay with no dental insurance. That is not exactly a "good samaritan policy". read more

Let me tell you about my Dentist and his staff. Dr Heizer has been nothing but amazing. He knows his job well and does it with passion and compassion. He and his staff take good care in calming your anxiety and you are part of the step by step solution to your dental needs. I have just had two filling done with his Solara laser, pain free dentistry and took half the time as the tradition method what more could you want. Great job to Dr Heizer, Dr O'Grady and both their assistants. Top notch dental care. The hygienist and customer service staff have always been so nice to. Dr. O'Grady did a wonderful job! I had to have a root canal and I'm pregnant, he called my OBGYN to ask if that was approved. He also knew that being a redhead meant I needed more numbing meds. These are HUGE for me! He was kind and informative. My first visit he genuinely got to know me. This is a place I would recommend!! read more

I did not get a freebie and was upset when I left, I came in for the $49 new patient deal, and at no time was I told that the work they were doing on me would cost me an extra $100, till it was time to leave, very unprofessional, so be careful if you go in for the special make sure that's all they do or else. read more

So why the middle review? First off, I called them last October, having added Blue Cross PPO Dental insurance for my wife and I. I was seeking a new good local dentist, of course "In Network". Why go out of network if you have insurance? When I called the office and asked "do you have a contract with BCBS?" They responded, "Yes, we can file with BCBS." This was misleading. Any dentist can file a claim with insurance. But if you don't have a contract, you are out of network and the fee is high out of pocket. There is no point. Why else would I call and ask? Cost me half a day pay for a cleaning and xrays and dentist visit. The hygienist was hawking a new mouth cancer test that would cost a bunch of money out of pocket. I don't know anybody ever who got mouth cancer, especially when I don't smoke or chew tobacco. They didn't ask if I wanted it. Just assumed I did because I didn't say anything. But that was to be on a next visit and I planned in advance to say no way. I plan to appeal to the dentist to see if he can waive my cost since I was misinformed about the insurance. The 3 stars are for the dentist who was very thorough and helpful and the hygienist was very thorough in the checking and cleaning process. But, sadly, my future is over with the office due to the lack of BCBS in network. Make sure you confirm with your insurer if a dentist is in network. Don't trust that you will get the straight answer from the staff. read more

I have used Dr. Heizer for years. I recently had issues with my lower teeth and he explained three options to me - the low, the mid and higher with the pros and cons for each. There was no pressure and ultimately i decided to opt for implants. The dental surgery was performed by Dr. White and it has now been approximately 6 weeks post surgery. Dr. White was excellent and would recommend him without reservation. Judy has been there for all my visits and has been very informative and helpful. I cannot say enough positive about Dr. White, Dr. Heizer, and Judy - they are all personable, yet professional and all do an excellent job. All of the staff are very friendly and it is a pleasant atmosphere. Although dental procedures are not typically fun, my procedure, post operative care and healing have gone smoothly which I have come to expect from this office. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. O'Grady and the staff at Lakeview Dental. Dr. O'Grady took the time to educate me on the procedure that was to be done, eased my anxiety, and constantly checked on how I was doing throughout. Having had a filling previously done by a different doctor, I can tell you this was the best, most comfortable experience I've ever had a dentist's office. He was so professional and understanding of my fear, and made me feel like a priority the entire time I was there. The entire staff, as well, is so friendly and takes the time to understand you as a patient and not just a customer. So glad we found Lakeside Dental! read more
