In November of 2014 my mother suddenly passed away. I am 24 years old and had never experienced…read moresomething so traumatizing in my life. I had my mom taken to Nelson-Fraizer and the nightmare I was experiencing only got worse. Sandy was very rude and made the worst day of my life even worse. I asked if we could have a memorial at the funeral home without doing a viewing and after having mother cremated and she told me that I could rent out some other place to do that because she only had two chapels available while they were doing construction. Basically they are saving those for people who were going to spend more money than I was able to. We paid for a $400 urn but when we showed up 2 days later she had no idea who I was (like many young girls come in dealing with their mothers death) and handed me a cardboard box with my mothers remains in it. After us asking where the urn was she acted clueless and chuckled saying "oh, you have to remind me of those things." This is her only job and I have to remind her? She was very cold and had no compassion while filling out paperwork. When I would ask a question she would come back with a condescending attitude like a 24 year old girl should know how to fill out a death certificate. On top of all of this, a month and a half after my mother passed away I still hadn't recieved a death certificate. After calling the funeral home and them saying oh they should be in any time, my fiancé called the hospital and the funeral home had never sent it there. I just came home and almost two months later the death certificates are here and in an envelope that was over stuffed and ripped open. NEVER again will I take my family there or recommend them to anyone. I don't know if anyone will read this, but I hope no one has to experience what I did after having such a tragedy happen.
