I am updating my review from November 18th regarding my deck. This deck won't pass inspection. There are no concrete footings only dirt. there are no joist hangers around 2x10 joist.no double band on edges of deck on 2 sides, only a single notch on 6x6 for deck to rest on (should be double), 6x6 posts have no concrete footings only dirt around them, no carriage bolts at top of 6x6 posts to hold to deck band, no post to support upper left of staircase, numerous screws missing on composite materials, the support posts are too short so they hammered pieces of 2x4 stacked to fill in the space between post and deck they left nails hanging where original porch was removed. The railings they put around the deck are coming apart. They left exposed wood on stairs. They never addressed any of my concerns. Just kept saying it was all my fault. They were supposed to come out and level up our yard because it's a hill. Then the deck. They showed up and started the deck and when questioned they said the do the deck first then level up the yard. Nothing I said did any good. They had conned my husband who has dementia out of $16,000. From that point forward they picked out the materials they wanted to use, I asked for metal railings like the rest of my house. I had asked for a written contract and never got one. When I called and asked for my contract, what was sent to me wasn't what I asked for and brought that to their attention. They just kept doing what they wanted and kept saying it was all my fault. We ended up with about a $6,000 deck built with cheap materials by people who knew they were ripping off a man with dementia. Now I am going to talk to the District Attorney about possible fraud, reporting this to the state licensing board, reporting the fraud to the FTC and the Better Business Bureau. I recently received an updated bill stating they would take $1,000 off for not putting the hot tub on the deck (reinforcing a deck for a hot tub requires an engineer to take into account the size of the tub plus the weight of the water), and $5,000 off for the problems they caused. That would leave me owing them another $10,000. Total for a deck that would hold a hot tub would be $32,000. They also stated that the $6,000 discount was only good if I pay the bill immediately and if not I would still owe them $16,000. What kind of person takes advantage of a 72 year old man with dementia. The sad part is they now think they got away with it! The actions stated above have already begun. I am still contacting the media. They should never be allowed to do this to anyone else. My new rating for them is FRAUD. read more

Lakeway came out to my home to put up a wood privacy fence and drainage around my house. The crew was amazing, nice, and they worked hard and fast! The sales person was on top of it making sure I was updated everyday on the projects! Would recommend! read more

The old phrase "let the buyer beware" totally applies to this company. They said they could install vinyl fences. They lied. It cost almost $5000 to fix their screw ups on a fence that cost almost $24000. It took months for the fence to come in from the time they ordered it. While waiting on the fence I asked if they could add dirt to the backyard to fill in ruts, and holes. At first they said they didn't need to bring dirt in. They said they could use the dirt that was there and drag it to fill in the depressions. That didn't work. They brought in 16 yards of dirt and said they were done. The dirt wasn't even close to being enough. They said the dirt from the fence post holes could be used to fill in the depressions. They place the dirt from the fence post holes in the neighbor's yard. Needless to say, the neighbors were very unhappy, to put it mildly. While waiting for the fence I asked them to run my gutter downspouts underground to the ditch by the road. They run the downspouts from the back of the house to the ditch in the front and covered the ditches up. For whatever reason, they did not attach the front downspouts. They had to dig to attach the front downspouts. They left the yard on the side of my house a mess. They left wheelbarrow tracks in my front yard. I asked them to add a ten-foot by ten-foot concrete pad to my existing patio. Two guys sat in a pick-up truck in my backyard smoking cigarettes and throwing the butts on the ground. I spent the next morning picking up the butts so my dog wouldn't get them. As far as the fence goes, these guys didn't know their rear ends from a hole in the ground. The posts were crooked, some of the posts weren't even concreted in, the gates fell apart days after being installed, they broke one of my septic tank lines, and there were gaps between my house and the fence that my dog could get out of. If you make the mistake of using this company make sure every little detail is in writing. They will say they will do things, but later say it wasn't in writing. This company's outside sales rep (Phil) sells their lawn care services as perfect and that no one complains. Well that is quite amusing to put it nicely. You cant count of them to consistently mow your yard without calling and reminding them every time they forgot to come out which is very often. They will throw grass in your natural areas and not think anything about it. They claim they blow after mowing and pick up any sticks that are in yard each time and that is also hilarious because its never done. They do none of what they say they do. Only thing they (two teenagers with no adult) do is mow extremely fast and then they leave. The grass is mowed so fast that there areas sticking up taller that other parts all over the yard when they are done. i could go on and on and on but i wont. i think you get the picture. The ONLY thing good that they have going for them is their inside help (Miranda)! She has been and still is excellent to deal with but unfortunately she cant make the mowers do their job as sold. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you want even a halfway decent job done. read more

IF I could give this company less than 1 star I would. I had them pick my John Deere mower up to fix a bad carburetor. Upon drop off and a $342.65 charge I started the mower to begin mowing. White smoke began billowing from the motor and mower would not stay running. I immediately called them. They came to pick up and called and said they couldn't find any issue...brought back to my house. The drop off guys couldn't get it to start, (at this point you would think "Hey, this is the issue the client was talking about...") Nope, they PUSHED the mower to the side of the house and left it and said they would ask the mechanic. I again, called back...as I have paid for a repair and have a further disrepair than I started with. They said they would come that day to pick up...a week passes. I call again and they come pick up the mower. Once the mower is returned for drop off, I was told the battery was dead due to them trying to start it so much and notice the belt is HANGING OFF the deck. I said guys...you have got to be kidding me. I at this point supplied them with a new belt and said please return my mower immediately. The office manager Tari calls and in the rudest way possible tells me they are tired of doing free work and they are done upon drop off and HANGS UP ON ME. Mind you, not once has my voice raised or said a single disrespectful word. I am asking for the original repair to be corrected only. Here's the kicker, the mower is dropped off to me...I make one pass on the yard and it cuts off with the same white smoke. I notice the grass isn't cutting also and park it. The new belt wasn't put on right and is now hanging off, damaged. I CAUTION YOU AS A LOCAL BUSINESS SHOPPER...GO TO THE NEXT COMPANY ON YOUR LIST OF PEOPLE TO CALL. I'VE NEVER SEEN A LESS DESERVING COMPANY IN MY ENTIRE CAREER IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more
