I don't know if this reviewing ADT itself or this company who installs it, but this is about ADT itself. ADT is a scam. Don't do it. We regret every cent we spent on this farce. The doorbell camera that was installed was a hunk of junk. When connected to the doorbell, it just made the doorbell go off on its own, so we had to sacrifice our doorbell. The doorbell would ring through the app, but who has their phones off quiet anymore? I work from home, so having it off quiet was not an option. The audio on the camera was not understandable on either end. It didn't detect people the vast majority of the time. For example, we backed our car almost right up to the camera and spent an hour packing it to go on a trip and the camera never picked us up once. This is after setting it in the app to very clearly pick up our driveway. In summary, the camera was completely and utterly useless. The door sensors kept saying they were tampered with us just opening and closing the doors. Same with the windows. When we tried to cancel, they fought us tooth and nail. When I asked if they could send someone out to remove their junk, I was told no due to "a future houseowner might want it". I tried again today to have them come out to remove their junk and was told no due to not having a contract. Definitely a scam to get you to renew your contract, just so they can refuse to remove the tech again. Now I have to hire a contractor to remove their junk. No way I'm going to sell a house with "Front Door Tampered" going off every time a potential buyer walks through the front door. The customer service people on the online chat were all polite and easy to work with, but they were pretty useless due to all the stupid rules keeping them from doing anything. Oh, and the people who came to our door in Lebanon (MO) quoted us one price and then the person who came to install the junk gave us another that was higher. So it seems like the people who first came to our door flat-out lied to us. In summary, ADT is a big bloody scam with completely useless equipment. I bought some cameras for $25 apiece with no contract and they work FAR better than anything ADT provided for $65/month plus installation fees plus a contract. Took me 10 minutes to install them myself, too. Avoid ADT and you avoid wasting your money. ADT = A Dang Trick
