Despite being a smaller library, it serves as a great pick-up location for items put on hold online. Two self checkout stations make self-service super easy. Hold area is always organized, and I can easily find my holds for a quick checkout. A few areas to sit and work in the teen section, not as much as Marysville library but I've never seen it completely full. Computer use stations I have seen fully occupied however. Staff has always been helpful and polite. Ample parking, including street parking, private lot, and the gravel lot. Inside has always been clean and free of offensive odors. The sidewalk out front is old and uneven, as is the parking lot - most likely from the huge tree roots but if you're watching where you're going, it shouldn't be an issue. Hoping it doesn't cause complications for those needing level ground.

They even had a little craft project at the end of class that tied into the book theme. We really enjoyed that. The songs were so fun and interactive and the staff leader was so sweet with the kids. The library was very very clean and organized. So far my favorite Snohomish location we have checked out yet. Looking forward to the nexts story time.

The book selection would be find for a high school: major emphasis on the environment, outdoor activities, cooking, home improvement. Very little on intellectual interest. South Whidbey is home to a number of well educated cosmopolitan residents who most likely maintain private libraries which means that the Langley library responds to the needs of a different group. I am pleased to see the emphasis on children Kudos there. As for the staff, I understand that the budget is not adequate to hire professional librarians, but my impression is that those who work there have little interest in books or the customers. A little training would not be remiss /
