We ordered the samosa tarts and malai chicken tikka from the appetizers and both were absolutely delicious! We also ordered mango lassi, butter chicken, and garlic naan (all automatic orders for us when we go to Indian restaurants) and none of them disappointed. However, we were a little disappointed that they didn't have a few menu items that we see back home or at other Indian restaurants like onion bhaji, pakora, biryani and tandoori chicken. The only complaint we had was the service wasn't that great. Our order was taken a few minutes after viewing the menu and the staff was very friendly but after we finished our appetizers, we felt neglected as other tables were served their food and we were waiting 25-30 minutes to get served our main dish. We had to let the server know that we were done our appetizers and ready for the main dish. I'm not sure if this is normal in Montreal or at Indian restaurants in Montreal? Other restaurants we were served our courses immediately one after the other, with maybe 5-10 minutes in between. It wasn't busy either for a Wednesday night where they only had 3-4 tables. Regardless, we would recommend Veranda to anyone craving Indian food who wants to eat in Old Montreal! The food is delicious!

If you are in Montreal and want to test Most authentic South Indian food. Very affordable and a lot of options, Been there way too many times and it never disappoints me. I love the food here, Parata with Butter chicken it's perfect combination. My colleagues who are new to Indian Taste enjoyed the food very much. This place is so good, that I've been there three times in under a month. Each time we go, we always order the different assortments of meat. Each dish is seasoned with it's own spices especially South Indian authentic flavours which come out smelling savory and appetizing, unlike other places that use the same seasoning for all dishes. read more

Very good Indian food. If you like Indian food, this is the place! Their biryani is the best. I go their almost every other week everything in the menu is good. If you don't like too much spicy food then you can ask them to reduce it to your level. Must try. Its very well priced too. read more
