    Pozole- below average
    Antonio R.

This is my 2nd visit to this place and the first time the tacos were really good. The chips and salsa were below average. The chips were greasy but crunchy, and the salsa had a mix of 'Tajin' flavor.... This time I ordered steak tacos and pastor, my wife ordered pozole. The pastor taco was tasty but on both the steak and this one the tortillas were deepened in oil trying to get them soft. First time they were soft tortillas. The pozole had cabbage instead of lettuce and did not have any hominy (maíz pozolero), it was also very greasy. Wasn't asked about a refill. Too bad we had this experience on this visit. Not coming back

Another good visit to Lalos! The facility is still open, welcoming and comfortable. I think they have better organized the dinning room. Things seem to flow and move well. There was plenty of staff to serve and keep the chips, salsa and drinks flowing. My wife had the Don Pacho Tacos. She enjoyed the tender beef and fresh seasonings. She found the pinto bean style beans to be a more enjoyable option than the usual refried beans. I had the enchiladas ranchitos. I loved the gooey cheese filling. The red beef sauce was a good accent to the cheese taste. The meat was also very tender. The sauce had a nice tomato base and seasoning without being hot and overly spicy. Overall I'm still impressed with Lalos food. I tell people Lalos food is gourmet Mexican food. The quality and freshness of ingredients is outstanding. The food design is simply delicious!!

Jesica was excellent . Food was great. Only thing keeping from five stars was after got home noticed our son's root beer rang up as premium margarita.

Easy to find. Lots of parking. Huge menu. Huge portions. Menudo was hot and fresh. Margarita was nice and strong. Chips were not hot enough for my liking. I don't like cold chips. But overall, I really liked this place!!

Huarache Ranchero. Super good! Tortilla not as thick as others I've had.

This is a great little Mexican spot! My husband stopped by here one day on his way home because I said I wanted Mexican food and I didn't care where it was from. He brought it home and it was so good that we went in to eat a week later. The service was great! She even changed the TV at the bar for us so we could watch the game. The food was great! Their salsa especially!! I love that they have your normal: quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and fajitas section on their menu. But then they even have a section that says "authentic", which I appreciate! There was a decent crowd for a Sunday night. I love to see people supporting local! Would highly recommend and will be going back again!

Hello, so I have order from here since it started. I had reviewed this place before. But for three years of take out. Well we went in for the full experience. Wow this food to twice as good fresh at the place. I had carnitas and they were super tender. The soda option is Pepsi and there is a huge amount of parking at Seating. Great option.

This is simply a photo of the roads the restaurant is located on. I took a screenshot to share with my roommate cuz she loves Mexican food

The parking lot was a bit packed when we got there, but there were still several places to park and we didn't mind the short walk to the restaurant. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted and welcomed to a table. The place was quite busy but all of the staff were on top of things and ready to help wherever needed. Miguel L. was our server, he took the time to talk to us about authentic mexican food and suggested we try a taco with chorizo and steak next time, he was very excited to tell us about real mexican food which was fun to learn about also he was really nice and friendly. Mom tried their hot sauce, which to give some context it's kind of like Taco Bell's lava sauce, but spicier and better, and she said "I may have to jump in your margarita because my mt dew isn't big enough". She loved the hot sauce and the fact that Miguel was on top of our drink situation. That's how she judges the quality of a place, on whether or not servers keep up with the drinks and asks about refills. Miguel was on the ball with the drinks and also miguel was super nice and asked my mom if I'd be okay getting home cuz i was drinking and had a huuuuge margarita. I didnt catch that until after mom said I was good and that she was the one driving. This is the first place I've been to where they checked to make sure I was okay getting home, which I really appreciate. I've been to several bars and taverns and nobody once asked if my friends and I would be okay to get home. Miguel didn't have to take the time to make certain I'd be okay, but he did anyway. He's a cool upstanding guy and a great server. Because the place was pretty busy it was a bit loud but thats okay. The ambience was great and Miguel mentioned that sometimes they have a mariachi band that performs there. They also gave us starburst candy with our receipt which was pretty cool, and it was all good flavors, like pink, yellow, and orange.

In this awesome weather we're having her in Fort Wayne, request to sit outside in their patio area. You'll be glad you did!

My family and I came from a lifetime in California where we loved and appreciated real authentic Mexican food. After moving to Fort Wayne it wasn't until the opening of Lalo's during the COVID crisis that we found there place that filled that need. Lalos always provided consistently delicious-authentic Mexican food. The hospitality is always a cut above. Angel and Brenda and the staff set the environment for a relaxing time of great food and good service.

The service is always quick. The staff is always very attentive even when they are super busy. In my opinion, Lalos is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. We probably come here 3x a month, or maybe even more. Within less than one minute of being seated, chips and salsa will be ready on your table. They have very good ceviche here and their siete mares soup is my favorite. It is a lot of seafood for the price you pay. The food is clean and I like the fact that I don't see a heavy amount of grease on my plate.

The rice was flavorful but the beans were very salty. There are many vegetarian options here, more than most Mexican restaurants. The patio is large and beautiful. There were many people taking advantage of this warm and sunny early spring afternoon dining on the patio. The patio features approximately 20 tables, including several larger tables. Our waitress was friendly and prompt with checking on us before and after we ordered, and we were quickly settled in while waiting for our meals. I haven't had a lot of experience with Mexican cuisine, but I love birria and wanted to try that here; as for my boyfriend, he got a chimichanga. This is easily one of the top Mexican joints in all of Fort Wayne. It's a huge restaurant that was surprisingly dead for lunch, granted it was a Monday. It's a nicely decorated place, the service was friendly and really fast (food was out in less than 10 minutes), and the food was simply awesome. Their chips and salsa are outstanding... I could literally drink the salsa. You get a ton of food for the lunch portion (way too much to eat in one setting), so I can only imagine the size of their dinner portions. $30 for lunch (2 people) is a steal in today's restaurant price-gouging times. CDM might be our new "go to" Mexican joint, and it's certainly our favorite on the NE side of town.

Wow, very nice and also delicious. Their menu is amazing. Wide array of Mexican seafood dishes. They also have some non seafood options if needed. But when you see a seafood heavy menu at a restaurant, you *really* should get it. I focused on their new menu of shrimp dishes. They included head-on shrimp, in the shells. I wasn't sure I wanted to work for my meal and get messy. But damn, that Camarones al Cilantro (shrimp with cilantro) looked fantastic. I hemmed and hawed and decided I would order it along with some guacamole to get some vegetable material in me. When it came it was piping hot. Couldn't eat it, so focused on the guac for a bit. As the shrimp cooled I went to town on what may have been the messiest meal of my life. (Do NOT order unpeeled shrimp if you are on a first date or a job interview) Let me tell you - these shrimp were unbelievable. They were swimming in sauce and as I peeled them, i then dipped and chowed. The cilantro/chili/garlic? sauce was off the charts good. The onions and cucumber buried within it were also a nice discovery as I made my way through this mountain of a full pound of shrimp. It took a while and the sauce dripped down to my elbows at times. It was a caveman eating experience and it was probably the best Mexican dish I have ever eaten. It was probably a good thing I was eating alone. I don't see any other way to eat this unless you're a psychopath crunching through shrimp shells. But leaving those shells on keeps the shrimp moist as they cook and more importantly it keeps the shrimp flavor from cooking off into the sauce. Shrimp with the shell on do taste better - they are not just being lazy here. This meal was great and I would love to go back if I'm driving through again. Thank you for this!
