The center offered pizza, pastries and beverages for guest and speakers. I was really impressed with the talent that was showcased. The host of the show were youth and had a very welcoming presence. Youth were able to read / perform poems, short stories, essays and spoken word. There were all ages performing. Many of the kids said this was there first time performing or were nervous. The crowd was very respectful which swaps very encouraging. The ages for the event was 12 -18 if I recall correctly. The event lasted from 7:30 -9 pm. I think it's a very good event to bring your kids because it'll be something different and could be an enlightening and a good learning experience. Hopefully I'll be able to attend another night or if they have an adult night

The owner and her team were so warm and receptive to my son's needs. Every single day he came home from camp with a smile on his face and was pooped. Nothing ever poops my son out! Every single morning he woke on his own got showered and dressed and was ready before me so that he could go to camp. He loved the employees there as they made him feel so comfortable. He went on and on every single day about DJing classes and what mixes be was working on and his counting. He even loved the DIY class which took me by surprise. As a parent I love how organized the business was with pickup and drop off. I also love the safety precautions of ensuring all kids and employees are safe as possible from COVID. We call upon the relevant government authorities to take action against both this company and the driver, holding him accountable as a negligent and criminal offender for the harm he caused and for his failure to stop. I do not recommend doing business with this company--given the irresponsible conduct of its employees--and it should be held legally liable.

I don't mind this, people have to learn, and I've had pleasant experiences while being treated here. The campus is in the middle of downtown Norfolk and is large. There are many buildings, crosswalks, parking lots and garages. It's easy to get lost if you don't know where you are going so you need to make sure you get good directions if you are unfamiliar and try to figure out where to park. Allow yourself a little time to get inside and get settled if it's your first visit to one of the physicians here. Just remember, it's a medical school, so people are teaching and learning at the same time.

I have been a customer for many years and in the past impressed with the customer focused response to special customer needs. When I purchased another property in the Bayview area 2 previous GETEM technicians could not get it right. I had numerous "water bugs" (roach like pest) encroaching the interior of the home after multiple treatments. This became intolerable when the Roach like pest were now found in the beds. It was not until a seasoned 20+ year veteran GETEM employee carefully surveyed the home and quickly changed the pesticide approach eliminating any more ROACH like pest in the beds. 2 weeks ago I was offhandedly informed due to "route software" my home would be serviced by a different technician. The uncaring unresponsive "Amy" who manages calls showed no empathy or compassion. She simply showed intolerance to a customer's need to have a seasoned expert to continue servicing the home to prevent ROACHES in the bed. The request to have the seasoned technician continue was not unreasonable given the "route" was adjacent and would not require additional time or expense. The new business model of GETEM is SCREW-THEM (loyal customer). I have moved my pest services to another "family-owned" pest control business who responded within hours and whose service was superior and more affordable. Maybe my $1,000.00 a year residential account is not worth an effort to a corporate greedy company. Final parting words from GETEM ...."I am sorry you feel that way" which sum up the new business model. New Business Name should be "For-GETEM"

How blessed I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard but ODU sure did make move-in…read moreday super efficient. We arrived around 7:45am and my kiddo's move-in time was scheduled for 8:00-9:00am. She jumped out the car, checked in at the registration desk, was provided her key and then they gave us directions to proceed to her dorm room. The staff directed us in our cars to park right outside her dorm room to unload. We drove on the large sidewalk and parked in the grass 10 ft from her dorm. Pure awesomeness!! I had my good walking shoes on (AKA, my Timberland slippers) because I was prepared to take multiple trips from the car from some garage but NOPE, not needed. They took our information and phone numbers and wrote it on a hang tag for our cars (yep, we drove two SUVs for all my daughter's stuff!). We were told to quickly unload and then move our cars to the garage nearby so the next group could come through. They gave us these large cardboard boxes on wheels. We used 4 of them and everything in the car was emptied. It literally took us 10 mins to unload. The longest wait was for the elevator, since my daughter's room is on the 4th floor. All in all, I commend the ODU staff for having move-in day so well orchestrated and organized. I'm sure they have perfected this over the years, but as a new parent to the school, I was elated with the efficiency. The staff and kids who rushed to help us were helpful, super kind and great to work with. They even gave us "Proud Parents" shirts in which we wore proudly. If move-in day is any indication of what's to come, I know she will have a terrific year at ODU.
