The quote I received after requesting one from their website.
Chris R.

So I contacted La Moto again interested in a 2019 Piaggio Liberty 50. I reached out at first via the Piaggio website, but was quoted a base price ($2399) that was $409 higher than their website (which quoted ($1990). I also received a voice mail from Colleen who said that she should actually do better on that price, so I called her. I explained that the price she had quoted me was $400 higher and she explained that it had to do with the place that they worked the discount price through or something like that...not exactly sure what that was all about. She went on to quote a price of $1999, plus tax, blah blah blah, and "document fees". When I asked what "document fees" were, she simply stated that it was the "cost of doing business". No other explanation was offered and to be honest, I don't think she thought I was entitled to one. I said thank you and hung up. Not interested. There won't be a third try.

Revised to three *s because STEPHAN BYERS in JAN 2016 and feeling angry and beguiled for $$180/hr labor work.

Please Pls. read the fine print of original statement, paragraphs. My 2piston two cycle engine starter doesn't work according to receipts, the technician disassembled my battery, and this is the closest licensed workshop near me: it's very ambiguous about both caliper-replacement and "displacement" of my [basic American battery].

I am SO sorry for the long paragraph review but I just had to let it be KNOWN!!…read more I had an extremely frustrating experience with this dealership's SERVICE department (FALLS CHURCH), and I would not recommend them based on how they are handling my situation. On Saturday March 21, 2026, I brought my 2026 Kawasaki zx6r in for a recall service. Towards the end of the day, I had not been contacted AT ALL and had to go into the service department myself! Just to have them inform me that my recall had been finished much earlier BUT ALSO that their technician had dropped my motorcycle. While I appreciated that they agreed to replace the damaged fairings, everything that followed was handled very poorly. I brought my bike back on Saturday April 18, 2026, to have the replacement parts installed. I was told it would likely be finished the same day. During this appointment, once again I was not contacted and had to telephone them on the status. Apparently, the service department had ordered the wrong-colored part. Luckily, the correct part was available at the other location in Woodbridge, and they planned to send someone to pick it up, but the repair would not be completed until Monday. While I initially understood the delay, I was disappointed by the lack of preparation and communication. Then Monday, April 20, 2026, that turned out to be false because the technician assigned to my bike wasn't even there that day. I didn't find out about this until I had PHYSICALLY gone to service because AGAIN NO ONE WAS CONTACTING ME WITH ANY UPDATE! So I had no idea if anyone even went out to Woodbridge to pick up the part-- like they said they would. One of the service workers let me know that my bike would probably be finished tomorrow which was a Tuesday and that they would give me a CALL IF ANYTHING COMES UP. At this point I've started to become quite frustrated. On Tuesday April 21, 2026, I came in with my boyfriend who needed something from parts, while I was there I decided to stop by service after receiving ZERO communication ALL DAY even though the guys said they would start contacting if ANYTHING. I doubt my bike was even finish but I thought it was worth a try. I was told my bike was already being worked on and would be done soon, so I decided to wait. After about 30 minutes, I found out through an employee that my bike had not even been started yet--and that there was no chance it would be finished that day because it takes 3 HOURS to put on a piece. I was LIED to and given false hope! TODAY is Wednesday April 22, 2026, I still have not received a single text, call, or email with any update on my motorcycle--whether it's being worked on or even finished. This is after being told multiple times that work was already in progress. I'm annoyed with having to physically go in and demand answers and then getting lied to straight in my face. I didn't WANT to be a Karen but now I FEEL like a Karen. I just really want my bike, answers, communication, and these ridiculous delays to stop! At this point, the lack of communication is completely unacceptable. A simple update takes seconds, yet I've had to repeatedly chase down basic information myself. It feels like customers are left completely in the dark unless they physically show up or call. This was my first time using a ANY kinda of dealership for service, since I did most of everything else at home and it was only because of a recall. Unfortunately, this experience has completely destroyed my trust in their service department and I will never come back to this location for any kind of service and will be continuing with Woodbridge if anything were to ever come up. I would strongly warn others to be cautious.

He is an excellent mechanic, easy to work with, responsive, and extremely affordable. More than anything, though, he is an honorable guy. There have been times where he's refused payment from me. He once told me that you don't pay if he doesn't fix it. There are even times when he didn't charge me even though he did fix my scooter (Kymco Agility50)! And when I have had to pay, it's always been crazy cheap. I get the sense he does this for the fun of it and not for the money. I was reticent to post on here since I don't want to inundate him with new customers, but I felt like I had to give him his due praise. A rare breed!

He stated a preference for working on Asian scooters, he owns a couple of Kymco People 50s, and of course motorcycles (he had a Rebel 250 in the shop when I dropped by). On my first call he was honest about his unavailability, he has very limited working space, but he called back about a week later letting me know that I was welcome to drop the bike off. Unlike at repair shops, available means he's ready to work on your bike right away. Dropped off a Honda Metropolitan II, long ago seceded to my gf, and got a call the next day saying the bike was ready to be picked up - new tires and an oil change for a very reasonable price. If you want to save time, bring him the parts he'll need to do the work (we brought him tires and synthetic oil of the right viscosity). When we picked up the scoot he made sure to mention some warning signs he noticed while working on the bike and advised us to keep an eye on an oil leak, all of which was appreciated. Have yet to bring in a scooter or motorcycle requiring a major repair or diagnosis but I'll report back when/if I do.

Ben took my call and kept me calm and focused while we tried to figure out what exactly was going on with my suv. After a few minutes on the phone we thought it was best to have it towed to the nearest shop a few miles away (by the way, this was an evening/after hours call). Ben helped get me a tow and offered to send me a car to be driven home. I opted to walk down the street to a local restaurant to take advantage of my stranded situation (that's an entirely different story). Back to my review. The next morning the Nielsen team helped me understand what was going on with my suv, the options available to me, and provided a detailed break down of the costs associated with the five years of neglect and work needed to be sone to my suv. The number was a big number but there is a cost associated with having skilled technicians on staff to do the work and do it right. I was ok with this and they were kind enough to work with me on the price. Through the entire process, Ben and his team kept me in the loop at all stages of the service, until my car suv was ready for pick up. I recommend anyone looking for a hard-working, honest team to service your car or SUV to look no further than Ben Nielsen at any of his locations. My wife and I often use one of their locations in Alexandria on Colvin street because it's closer to home, but when my Audi broke down, skyline became the best option. There's no financial incentive for me to give this review only the gratitude, gratefulness, and my overall desire to thank the team for what they did. Thank you Ben and the Skyline team!

Sometimes the work is fine and sometimes its not. Too often I drive out with a new problem that I did not have before. A year ago this happened with the Steering Gear Box, which started making a grinding noise as soon as I left the lot. I had to bring it back and pay for a new one. Today, I brought it in for a few minor issues and an inspection and oil change. I also asked them to look at the rear end because I was sometimes experiencing a light "clunk" when I would drive over bumps. They told me the rear differential was making that noise. It seemed odd to me that the rear differential would be the cause. So I told them it was not a big enough issue at the moment to justify $3,000 for a new rear differential. I drove it home and - voila - the rear differential is now making a grinding noise (it was not before). The clunk is still there, but that is not on them. I am not going back because I never know if I am going to drive out with more problems than I came in with.

In addition, how many businesses call you after business hours to give you advice on riding or maintaining a scooter. If you want a 21st Century high tech business, this is not the business for you.
