Great little mom and pop. Had some business in town and decided me and my 3 year old could try some of their breakfast. Good thing their parking lot is huge because they were slammed! In the best way! They still had enough room to find us a table too! Food was great, but don't expect IHOP type of food. This is what your grandma made. One bite is instant nostalgia. Oh, and it's affordable. Two people (my 3 year old eats like he's a starving grown man) ate for under $20. Everything tasted great, staff were attentive, and it was definitely a family oriented restaurant. We will definitely be back, but I'm bringing the entire family with me next time.

My family and I stopped in here on the way back to my brother's place, we knew it had to be good, the parking lot was packed. It took a little bit to get a table, however, the service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and so sweet! I ordered a cheese omelet, hash browns, and toast, with a side of potato salad. I had seen it someone else's plate and really wanted to try it. My food was absolutely delicious! I savored every bite. Unfortunately I got so full that I couldn't finish the potato salad, but I brought it back home for a snack later today. My family really enjoyed their meals as well, this place was a first for them as well, they live in the area, I am visiting from out of state. Thank you for your hospitality and a scrumptious meal!!!

The post-Christmas crowd keeps the Lamp Post busy, but the service is awesome as always. Coffee is great, biscuits and gravy are too

The food is good and so is the service, a very consistent down home country breakfast. Love the biscuit's & gravy.

The food is not the only thing that is excellent!!!

Food is great. Service can seem overwhelmed at times. But food and price is definitely worth the wait and any rushing waitresses.

I wanted to try their pancakes but didn't want a full stack, and our server Robin was wonderful in recommending the Sweet Start. One thing we really appreciated is that all breakfast entrees include coffee or tea, and the prices are already very reasonable. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that even though we ordered specialty coffees, we could still enjoy complimentary refills of regular coffee. The restaurant has a charming and unique atmosphere, with every table looking a little different from the next. For my meal, I ordered the Sweet Start, which included one pancake, eggs, and bacon. I also appreciated the transparency from the staff. When I asked for an extra serving of their homemade pecan butter, I was informed upfront that there would be an additional charge....a level of honesty that's surprisingly rare these days. My husband ordered the Banana Nut French Toast comes with homemade whipped cream and homemade pecan butter, which also came with bacon. He added a side of eggs as well. Everything was delicious. I'm especially particular about pancakes, and I can honestly say they serve some of the best pancakes I've had. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and what stood out most was how genuinely happy all the staff seemed to be. It created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely return the next time we're in the area.

When we walked in, we waited to be seated, we were standing close to the cash register and kitchen area. As we waited we listed to one of the staff complaining that wasn't a great sign. As we were being seated, we noticed all the cute decor! Someone took a lot of time to make the place look so cute! The waitress was super attentive! Hubby ordered the special, a Meatball sandwich and I ordered a salad with fried chicken tenders... I had to cheat a little bit. That Fried Chicken was calling my name! The food came out after a little bit of a wait. I completely understand because the chicken was fresh. But my poor hubby got a mess of a sandwich. It appears they made the sandwich and it sat while the chicken cooked. It was a soppy soggy mess. The bread was drenched and completely mush. He said the French Fries weren't much better. I asked him if he could eat just the meatballs and he picked up them each up with a fork and each and everyone of them were completely black on one side. Totally burned. Boy I felt bad because my chicken was delicious! This is the reason I added two stars. We went to pay, my husband leaving his hot mess in his plate. The owner was at the cash register, I found this out because she answered the phone while checking us out (stating her name was Julie). She was in such a mood, she was rude to the person on the phone placing an orderIn fact she was even rude to us, she scared the bjesus out of me....so we didn't say a word. I sure didn't want to complain and start an altercation . Hubby will never go back. He was not happy at all. I might go back, maybe with a friend and hope next time is better ‍ Possibly everyone was having a bad day? It was not crowded when we dined, as it was around 2:30pm. We thought this would be an asset, but we were wrong. Here is hoping it was an off day for them. Dine at your own risk my friends. Stay away from soggy sandwiches! Go for the fried chicken
