This place used to be Pho Quyen, but they recently changed the establishment name to LanAnh Kicthen. The menu is pretty much the same as before. Our favorite to-go are Cha Ca Thang Long and MY Quang Phan Thiet. They are super generous with the veggies. The Cha Ca Thang Long does not have the light crust outside as other places, but the seasoning and sauce are just right. Their Mi Quang is an absolute must! There are a full container of broth, in contrast with other places I have dined where the broth containers are barely half (My Quang usually does not have lot of broth to begin with). I love a lot of broth in my My Quang so I can slurp the noodle and drink the soup. Their shrimps in the My Quang are so delicious! Lots of meat in a portion too. And not too spicy as the traditional one. Highly recommend to check out this place. read more

We ordered three items. The first being the Banh Canh Tom Cua or Shrimp and Crab Udon Noodles. The broth was creamy with a bit lemon. The thick udon noodles are tasty. It is served with two medium shrimp, two hard boiled quail eggs and then meat. We added the bean sprouts, and lettuce and mint to the hot broth and just let it sit for 2 minutes for the flavors to ming with the vegetables. On your second sampling of the soup with it finally prepared it was a taste experience. Creamy broth tender veggies and the meat and eggs what a great delight. The second item ordered was the Bun Cha Ha Noi or Hanoi grilled pork with vermicelli noodles. I sampled the broth and it was sweet and hot with a nice amount of ginger. We added the cold noodles to the broth and bean sprouts, lettuce and mint leaves and allowed them to soak in a the flavor. O the second sampling of soup it was superb. Sweet broth and grilled pork with the crunch of the lettuce and bean sprouts. While we waited for the soups to fully integrate the flavors, we enjoyed some fried egg rolls. Crispy and crunchy and hot on the first bite. They are small so order at least four. Two would equal 1 normal egg roll. The filling of cabbage, onion and pork was really nice. We dipped our egg rolls in soy sauce and also hoisin sauce. Sweet and salty and the nice huge crunch of a hot egg roll that were not greasy at all. We will definitely come back again and try some of the other specialties of the house. There are nine tables in side and two tables out side. It was chilly out side so we opted for indoor dining. Prices are very reasonable and we'll proportioned. Sorry We did not have phone to take pictures of the food. But what you see on the menu pictures is what you will receive. My husband ordered food for my birthday and it was such a succes! The Ha Noi sliders and Cuon Nhit were definitely a hit. No wait time and decent priced. It was empty when we can with a family of 4 around 5:30pm. Dessert was good. Recommend to come for dessert. They didn't turn on AC so it really affected our taste bud eating hot soup in a stuffy room with mosquitoes. The lemongrass chicken was not like other pictures on Yelp a d bland. The soup was better but not a wow factor. Hurray for free desert with yelp but I guess that is why they got such high reviews. The price per item has increased. $14 per bowl, not cheap but not expensive. Got my fix for Vietnamese food but probably not come back. read more

Vietnamese food was what I was wanting, and I recently discovered this restaurant. I traveled all the way to Westminster in search of a tasty bowl of noodle soup, and LanAnh Kitchen won the bet on flavor and toppings. Both the canh bun and the salmon spring rolls that I ordered were delicious! However, I didn't complete the two salmon rolls because the canh bun alone had made me quite full. This is my new favorite lunch spot. LanAnh is Vietnamese home cooking. They have all the Vietnamese classics were all familiar with with (pho, bun) as well as a number of really tasty soups you don't see in most Vietnamese restaurants, such as the shrimp and crab udon which is my new favorite. They also have a rotating menu of other soups, stews, and stir fried dishes. There is a creamy chicken curry that is absolutely delicious and a wonderful Vietnamese beef stew with a star anise flavor. Today I had a tofu with bamboo shoots and bitter melon and a pork meatball wrapped in tofu with a tangy sauce. Everything I have tried here so far has been really good and I am slowly working my way down their menu. The service is friendly and the prices can't be beat. read more
