Lancashire living is an absolute disgrace of a company and the owner Steve Collinge is a liar, cheat and can not be trusted. My transaction history: I spent £691 + £100 courier for a John Lewis Valencia sofa from their ebay store marquis1958. They said it would be delivered on 4 separate occasions which i had to wait in for and every time they said it would arrive it did not. I eventually paid a extra £120 for my own courier to pick it up. The sofa that arrived was not as described, it was ripped, stained and did not even have the bolts to put it together!!! it was also missing the feet. I have had numerous heated phone calls trying to get refund but all the time I have been fobbed off with lies. The owner Steve Collinge was the rudest man I have ever met and actually shouted at me on the phone, I can not even repeat the words he used!. I have now had to resort to pursuing this with trading standards and visa to get my refund which is currently in progress. My complaints to ebay have resulted in lancashre living being banned from ebay they were trading under marquis1958 please check this name on ebay to verify what I am saying Ebay removed them for many reasons: refusing to take paypal payments using John lewis stock photography as the listing photo gross misconduct of ebay rules I will be making trading standards aware of these other complaints I have read on this website as it sounding like I am not the first or will not be the last this company is ripping off. I ordered a bed and mattress from the store at a really good price a lot cheaper than I had seen it elsewhere. I was told 2-4 weeks for delivery, 2 weeks later I received a phone call early morning to say that my items were ready and asking when I'd like them delivered. I was surprised to find that I could arrange for delivery that very same morning and they turned up just after lunch time. Consideration should be made by the way of us only being about 15 mins away from the store but still notable. The customer service was excellent both in store and over the phone as well as at point of delivery and the items themselves were just right. You really couldn't ask for much more - great price, great delivery and great communication. read more

I was so thrilled that I found Lancashire Living. It was through a friend that I discovered the company in Lytham and that they also had a website online. She had just bought a leather sofa from them much cheaper than anywhere else and told me about the service she had received. I purchased an Oak desk, coffee table, bookcase and console table. I am so happy with the quality of the purchases, the way it is made and most certainly the price. They gave me excellent value and delivery was efficient. A very big thanks to Lancashire Living for the beautiful Elegant Ash Range of furniture that we purchased on line. Initial concerns with regards to quality were a worry due to not actually seeing what we were buying. However, our fears were forgotten as the service provided and quality of the Elegant Ash sideboard, TV corner unit and table was spot on. The furniture is striking and we were very pleased with our purchase. The furniture is not cheap but the build quality and finish is excellent. Delivery was on time, well packed and a lot of care was taken to ensure that the furniture did not get damaged in transit. read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.I ordered some sofas and paid the money.Iwas given three seperate delivery dates and they did not turn up on each occasion. I made over thirty calls and was given every excuse in the book.Each time it was only Steve can authorise this and only Steve can do that and he is out of the country or someone will ring you back in ten minutes but no one ever did.I tried to get a refund but again empty promises,Eventually I got the sofas delivered but in my opinion the were not new or rejects.Do yourself a favour and keep away. read more

I advise anyone strongly to look elsewhere rather than order from this company as they took our money and failed to make delivery on a number of occasions, this along with never calling us back and talking to us with utter disrespect for our custom. We are also battling to get our money refunded, and we are taking them to trading standards and will be using all our other legal/tv contacts to make sure this does not happen to anyone else. We recommended this place to some friends of ours who were looking for a new bed for their guest room. We got a great deal on some sofas last year (saved over £1000...eeek!) and hoped they'd find something too. They've just bought a new king size divan for absolute peanuts - don't know how they get the prices so low. Ordered a sofa on the 2nd Nov. Was told it would be delivered the next week. After chasing them up for 8 weeks I was sent a second hand sofa. My demands for a refund fell on deaf ears so I had to claim back through my credit card. I strongly advise you buy elsewhere. read more
