After University I moved back home 2 months before deciding to flee the nest once again, during this time I decided that I wanted my room to look 'Moroccan' themed and so decided to paint my room terracotta and yellow. After spending ages on it and stinking the house out with the pong of paint, it was still a bit scruffy, but I was very pleased with myself. It was very satisfying. If you have an urge to paint or re-build something, and think you have the capability to do an alright job, Johnstone's will probably have the bits and bobs you need. They stock a huge range of building and painting supplies, and are much cheaper than your usual chain supplier so you can get on with the job you've been thinking about for ages.

I had to go their with a friend before I realised what this massive building on the corner of the road was. Thankfully now I know. They have a huge range of paint for every occasion - gloss, mat, outside paint, indoor paint - a they can mix up a colour for you. I have a minor phobia of really large stores like B and Q selling this kind of thing as there is always too much to choose from and the tins of paint seem to be piled up to the ceiling. Johnstone's is far easier to manage as it is not so big, its quiet during the week yet they have everything you could possibly need. There is sand paper, brushes, even overalls if you don't want to get your regular clothes covered in paint that will never come out. A wise purchase in my experience.

The guy's that run this business are very knowledgeable, there advice is priceless. They carrie loads of products that you would'nt get from a multi national group and there prices are great. Good quality paints and wallpapers, loads to choose from classic to moden. They also have John Willman papers and have access to there matching fabrics, including upholistry fabrics, there to order only. If your re-decorating or looking to match something give these guys a try, you maybe very pleased you did.

Very knowledgeable staff and very friendly. Would recommend to anyone decorating or doing home improvements.
