She came to the hospital after I had my baby and stayed with me overnight for two days. This allowed me to get rest and recover while she tended to the baby. My heart would skip when I saw her walk through my hospital room door. She was there to listen to me, to comfort me and to just hug when I didn't have anything to say. She also cared for my newborn so tenderly. She was also my overnight doula when we came home with the baby. Again, my heart would get so excited when it was a night with Christi! She came in and helped with household chores, cared for the baby overnight while my husband and I caught up on much needed rest, and I continued to heal. I just loved talking to her every night about any and everything. She always put my family's needs first when she was here with us overnight. I cannot say enough good things about Christi. She is an angel in disguise. If you are thinking of a postpartum doula, you can't get any better than Christi. She will put your mind and heart at ease.

My wife and I attempted to make contact north of 12 times and on 8/28 (LESS THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE DELIVERY) filed a dispute with the credit card company (for failure to provide service). Totally unethical, uncoordinated, and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and hire anyone but Susquehanna Doulas. They are a scam. I just received a call from my credit card company that they are disputing the dispute and have told the credit card company they provided the services. We we never able to make contact after payment or meet any party representing Susquehanna Doulas. STAY AWAY!!!

As a first time mom, I really had no idea what help a doula could provide, but after doing some research and talking to my OBGYN, my husband and I reached out to Amy at Dauphin County Doulas. Amy set up a zoom call for us to connect and discuss what I was hoping to achieve working together and it was a great experience from the very beginning. Education and baby basics, as well as another set of hands to help, were my main goals. My husband and I both can honestly say we got that and more working with Amy! I had some complications during my delivery that got my breastfeeding journey off to a slow start. Amy was at my house the day after I got home from the hospital and provided invaluable support and knowledge about nursing in those critical first days. Having someone so knowledgeable to weigh in on our specific circumstances in my home, without me having to go to a lactation consultant appointment at the hospital, saved my husband and I hours of going down internet rabbit holes as first time parents. She helped me as I dealt with some baby blues and the physical issues that come with having a c-section. From making sure I was eating a healthy lunch to helping me with the baby between feeds so I could take a much needed nap, I wouldn't have been able to heal and recover as quickly as I did without Amy helping me 2-3 days a week the first few weeks. We worked together until my son was around 8 weeks old and the version of us she left was night and day different from the version she saw day one. He is a thriving, happy baby who is gaining weight at a really good rate exclusively breastfeeding and is sleeping through the night already at 12 weeks because of our time spent working together.
