He assigned our case to LIghton on July 9th and even though he made multiple calls and was promised multiple times that it would be done by close of business on X date. It was not! Our survey was finally completed on Aug 14th after our attorney had to leave a strong voicemail and email to push this along. The last promised date was Aug 11th by close of business. Allegedly, the turn around is typically 1-2 weeks. Not the case here. Then the best part is that the estimate was $300 and the bill ended up being $825. So delay our closing by 5 weeks and almost triple the price. i want to add that the reason he used Lighton is that he had already done our prior survey. Therefore, according to our attorney, he had the template to work with and just had to add any changes. Our attorney thought this would keep cost down and make the turn around time faster. Our buyer came down to the wire to lose her rate lock due to the delays. This just added stress for all parties. I strongly recommend that you do not use this company. I guess I can live with delays but to throw out multiple dates and then not deliver is just unprofessional. I have learned that you always give a date farther out and come in looking like the hero, versus throwing out a date you can't deliver on! I assume this may have been to keep the business. If we had known it was going to be this long, we would have switched companies right when we realized the delays. Our attorney felt that wasn't wise as it would probably be then same turn around time. That ended up being incorrect.

During which time has been a horrendous experience each time I ordered a sign it took up to two weeks to be placed on the property. Most of the time they claim they never received an email to do so. There is much lack of communication with this company. Most recently I have relinquished my license with Coldwell Banker and went back on my own. I had requested the five panels from my listings. Apparently, they could only locate TWO. For the last two weeks I have been going back-and-forth trying to locate the removed panels to place on my listings with my new company. Not only do I look incompetent with my sellers, and thankfully they are understanding, I must have these panels reskinned by a sign company which will take up to four more days. Today I received a final email stating they are not responsible for the mis-handling of signs and refuse to cooperate. I would NOT recommend this company based on the ongoing mishandling of signs and lack of communication.

We put in an offer on a home and it was tentatively rejected due to an escalation clause. We removed our escalation clause and the realtor (Allen) said we needed to come up. The realtor (Allen) asked for the best and FINAL offer as they would be presenting that night. We decided that we could offer higher. After some back and forth. They approved our second offer and accepted. We signed, the homeowner signed and the offer went to legal teams. We started making arrangements on our end to sell our home, move our family, etc. The next day after waiting on our attorney, Allen let our agent know that they received an even higher offer that day and asked us to come up. We unfortunately couldn't go over asking as it wasn't in our budget. Now, I understand they wanted the few thousand dollars extra and this isn't illegal. But, it's incredibly bad form. They made a commitment to us and backed out of their word. Realtors are making the housing market even harder by not following a code of ethics.

My husband was especially impressed with her knowledge of the area not just the Fayetteville - Manlius area where we were looking but Jamesville, Dewitt, and East Syracuse where we viewed a few homes as well. We felt fully informed, and Evelyn was always prompt getting back to us and fighting to get us the best price.
