When I arrived with my dogs, the "family" was out for a royal boar hunt. The staff left cookies and tea for my arrival. My month spent there was one of the most enjoyable and memorable I will ever experience. The family made me part of their family. I enjoyed meeting "the princess "and riding with her in her cart and buggy in the afternoons when she got home from school. My walks in the mornings through impressive gardens, wetlands, and the neighborhood was priceless. Everyone quickly found out I was the American with the Germen Shepherd Dogs training Schutzund in the evenings. My guest home was impeccable with 3 rooms, a view and the my room was terrific. If you ever want to go stay at a castle for more than one night for less than $1,000 rent here for a week or two..so soak up such an ideal experience.

Would recommend coming here little bit early or later than 12 o'clock. Staff was fast and friendly and we were seated, after finding an open table. Food was served hot and very delicious! Must have a little patience for your meal to arrive at your table due to the popularity of this place. Place has great reviews and one of the reasons why we tried this restaurant.

Portions were large, and I had to take home some. It was great that they had to go boxes. Nice variety of beers. And the view from the Terrace was spectacular, with a nice breeze. The restaurant also has a nice selection of cakes and desserts. There was a small parking lot in front of the restaurant and even smaller behind the restaurant. After eating, it's nice to walk up to the Burg. I would definitely recommend this to anyone if you're in the area of Essing.
