There is plenty to see and do at Languard fort. The whole place is open to visitors (if I remember correctly) and you can look out over the sea from the high walls, you can climb to the top of the high walls. There are dedicated rooms where you can learn about the communications that were used back when the fort was in use.
There are also guns, cannons and tin hats that no one seems to mind you touching and playing with. The fort itself is a really impressive building, and the history behind it is fascinating - it is probably worthwhile bringing children here to explore but adults will also enjoy it! read more
