I've managed my rental properties for 30 years and have been able to resolve most issues with my…read moretenants'. I recently had a situation with a tenant that I needed legal help with. My Realtor gave me the contact of an Attorney who works with clients in her office, named Jonathan Lack. Mr. Lack told me this tenant situation was beyond his scope of practice and referred me to Charles Kohler. I called Mr. Kohler that same day and left him a voice message with basic information about my needs. Mr. Kohler called me back within 2 hours. He asked me to explain more information about what was going on with the tenant. He listened to everything I said, without interrupting me, and then gave me all of my options and how he could help me with them. I decided to start with a certified letter to the tenants from Mr. Kohler. After the tenants non response , I called Mr. Kohler for more advise, and HE ANSWERED my call !! He explained more options about the next steps to take. I ended up having to call Mr. Kohler a few more times ( HE ANSWERED each time ! ) and he wrote a second letter to the tenants. Mr. Kohler only charged me for the Letters that he sent certified to the tenants' and never charged me for the time he took to speak with me on the phone. ( I was always very detailed and brief with my information on the phone to him. So maybe he appreciated that. ) In any event, attorneys usually charge for phone calls and other. And the fees for his letters were extremely reasonable and well worth it !!!!! My tenants' are no longer residing on my property. And Mr. Kohler told me to call him anytime if I need to or if I have any more threats from the tenants'.

In need of an attorney to handle some tenant-related issues at a property I own in Florida, I hired…read moreScott Widerman of the Zies Widerman & Malek firm. Luckily for me, he was extremely easy to work with even from across the country. Scott carefully walked me through numerous issues and complexities associated with my tenant, and was very helpful through the whole process. He and his staff are extremely professional and courteous. And best of all, THEY GET THINGS DONE. In all, I was very impressed with his level of expertise and how well things were handled. I would highly recommend this firm and particularly Scott!

Horrible experience I had them represent me in a Tresspass case where the reasoning for the…read moreTresspass was that women feel threatened at City Hall. I had a recording of the woman who supposedly felt threatened, saying that she didn't feel threatened at all or intimidated or anything. I hired Nathan Maloon to represent me under the condition that he brought a video which contained that evidence from the phone call. He did not bring that video or use it in the case which led to me spending 15,000 more dollars so because he did not adequately defend me using direct evidence against the witness now I had to spend 15,000 more dollars. It seems that this may have been intentional seeing as how I literally hired him on the contingency that he brought this video to trial and then he did not. They did not give me a break on price. They overcharge the shit out of me about $400 for an hour worth of work did not give me adequate representation and when I brought this up to the owner of the law firm, he attacked me and still didn't give me any kind of a break on the price despite not getting what I paid for at all! They have overcharged me time and time again they Tresspass has cost me over $22,000. That is insane! These people do not care about you. They care about stealing your money and that is all they care about! Even the receptionist have told me she sees the corruption there! This is a disgusting firm full of disgusting people do not use it. It is owned by a piece of shit! Who rather attack you as a victim and help you!

My civil case was handled by attorney Allan Whitehead and lasted six years, during which I paid…read moreapproximately $71,000 in legal fees for representation that ended with a disappointing low settlement. In my experience, the case showed serious management issues. Between 2019 and 2024, Mr. Whitehead filed multiple exhibit lists but never uploaded any actual exhibits to the court docket. According to the Brevard County Clerk's office, no trial exhibits were ever filed by either party, even though I was billed for exhibit preparation. About five weeks before the scheduled trial, I received a letter from Mr. Whitehead informing me that the defendant company had gone out of business seven months earlier without any assets. However, public records later showed that related businesses under similar ownership were still active at the time, and that taxes were filed for 2024, and 2025. When I retrieved my client file, several exhibits were mislabeled, deleted and listed under the wrong case number, none of the exhibits coding in my client file match Mr. Whitehead's exhibit lists coding. These issues, in my opinion, reflected poor case oversight and communication. I have reported these matters to The Florida Bar (File No. 2025-30,800-18B) for review. I'm sharing my experience so that other potential clients can make informed decisions based on documented facts.
