We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. The food was simple but quite nice and it has vegetarian option(s). There was a lot to choose from at breakfast and fresh fruit was available. They did have bread, marmelade, cheeses and eggs and descent coffee. The rooms where pretty big but the bed was way to hardc for me wich i also find "normal" in German if you dont live at a 4-5 star hotel in a larger city. Cute with the chubby "vintage" tv in a hotelroom in 2015 though it didnt bother me as we werent there to Watch the tele. Bathrroom in 70's green with a shower. The balcony with a table and two chairs are a plus among smokers and other that would like to enjoy a coffee or a beer there. We paid 88 $ wich i thought was about 25$ too much for the standard as i have lived at many great familyrun hotels and motels in Germany with similar standards for around 50-60 €. Malente is a small village so after 8 pm there only a couple of places open if you want to grab a bite and a nice Cold german beer.,
